What are you talking about?
Edit: nevermind, I get it. Fact is they let that game go after a huge lead.
They did. But also, Cam Newton.
As for the Carolina game, you could see it coming a mile away. Last of three straight big games, including a big win over Florida (huge game at the time), South Carolina coming off a bye with Gameday in town and a matchup advantage (Lattimore vs a rebuilding Bama run D)
They are a reason for why UT has been bad. They aren't a great reason for why UT has been historically bad and they don't justify the regression of the running game, offensive line play, etc.
I get all that, but the fact is tvols is claiming we should go 10-2 because only one team is vastly superior, yet bama lost to 2 teams with less talent and one that was comparable. Alabama was more talented at every position except qb against auburn, dl is debatable.
Looking at that schedule, what kind of record do you think the Tennessee team would have? I see 3 games which are almost sure losses, and 3 others which seem to be questionable at best. With opponents having by weeks like Alabama's opponents had that year, I don't see much better than 7-5.Yeah, but including Penn State is like including Mississippi State. Except Mississippi State was half-decent.

I have too. And something is definitely different.
Fulmer got lazy, Lane left too soon and Dooley's not very good. He was a rush hire by an incompetent AD. He could very well ride Bray's arm to a good season. I'll be cheering for it.
I'm hoping for 10-2 or 7-5 and Gruden.A bad coach that has never won anything coaching Tennessee is what's different.
It's hilarious to watch people twist and turn and try to reason out why Tennessee hasn't been a good team for awhile.

I get the feeling that he is intelligent, but I don't think he has nearly what it takes to win in the SEC.This pretty much sums it up. Although Dooley is a smart guy who's been around some great coaches. He obviously wasn't ready for the UT job, but I still hold out a modicum of hope that the last two years have provided him with enough on-the-job learning to make him good. Or at least significantly better.
Exactly. The problem with that is if Bray, Rogers, and Hunter leave and he follows it up with 7-5, does Tennessee have the stones to fire Dooley?
