From this post, I would have thought that you were either the DA or the head detective investigating the case.

I am not saying the man is guilty or innocent. I have not a clue. However, what separates me, from you, is that I am withholding judgement upon the accused until all the tangible court-admissible evidence comes to light.

You should do the same.

The last paragraph of the article is important. It says that since Zimmerman 'told' police he shot in self defense that he could not be arrested because he shot in reasonable fear of imminent death or great bodily harm. So, Zimmerman was experiencing great bodily harm in his car and then got out to shoot TM? Or did he experience great bodily harm after got out and approached TM? Did he EVER experience any great bodily harm? If he did, there would have to be some evidence of this GBH, right? Wouldn't putting out the evidence of this so-called GBH shut everyone up and let Zimmerman get on with his life before America gets torn further apart?

My thoughts exactly.

I wondered why a 250lb dude needed a gun to fend off a 160lb 17 year old. The guy is a wuss that couldn't make it as a cop and has nothing better to do than look for crime on his own time. That's what happens when you're a fat creeper. What girl would waste their time on that thing.

witnesses said Zimmerman was the one pinned down in the scuffle and who, again, has claimed to have shot Martin out of self-defense

Like I said, there are things with this case that arent all jiving together. It would be reasonable to let the evidence be presented and the judicial system play out before we convict him........ in other words, he is innocent of murder at this point.

That's right. There was a murder and absolutely no investigation. It is all over the national news, yet the police department refuses to assign detectives to the case. The is no investigation at all taking place. How foolish of me.

Back to the original intent of the thread. If I remember correctly, didn't Obama say if he had a son he would want him to be like Martin? I just cannot think he would want a son with drug and theft charges and possible gang affiliation. This is not a character judgment on Martin at all since God knows we all have our faults, but rather an issue of the president politicizing something and sticking his nose into something he shouldn't.

Again, according to what evidence. You seem to have a problem with certain rights people have such as innocent until proven guilty. It is clear that you have such a hate for the man, because he appears white and he killed a black kid. You are wanting to convict and carry out sentance before you even really know what the **** took place. It a knee jerk reaction to a racialy charged situation.

Whoa. A sensible post, Yes, things are not crystal clear in this case. Everything is a bit murky. It should act as a red flag to invite caution when pronouncing absolutes in this case.

He is innocent until he is proven guilty.......he shouldnt have to experience the racial bigots that make up the Black Panther Party who are putting a price tag on his head.

I agree.

I was presuming, possibly prematurely. that Pimp was implying that he may not be guilty of murder but he sure wasn't out picking dandelions on a spring day either.

According to his own admission, Zim got out of the car to follow TM. There is nothing to indicate Zim indentified himself. If a stranger were following you, wouldn't you feel threatened? At the very least, Zim's actions created the situation. All of this is easily gleamed from Zim's own account.

Does this not at least constitute negligence and therefore arrest? Zim is not out on bail, he was never arrested.

To lend to the theory that Zimmerman fits the bill for a vigilante:

-Neighborhood watchman, started in his neighborhood by himself with no ties to the national neighborhood watch organization
-Nearly 50 calls to police in past six years, with the most recent calls pertaining to suspicious characters walking through the neighborhood (none of which have any record of fruition)
-Attending school for as associate's in law enforcement
-enrollment in police academy
-night riding while packing heat

To lend to the theory of Trayvon Martin's shady lifestyle:

-school disciplinary issues
-pictures of gold teeth
-alleged photos of him flipping off the camera
-baggy pants
-skittles

Miscellaneous facts:

-Zimmerman was not arrested due to lack of evidence contradicting his self-defense rather than arresting him for insufficient evidence of self-defense
-Martin was serving a school suspension the week this happened.
-Martin was 6'3; 140 pounds (not 160)
-Zimmerman is 5'9: 250 pounds
-Martin was interested in military aviation
-Zimmerman's neighborhood was prone to various invasive crimes last year
-Regardless of his ethnicity, Zimmerman was rumored by neighbors to harbor distrust for young, black men
