'12 JUCO PG Fabyon Harris

Yeah, I'm with you on that. Just thought I would put it out there. Hopefully he's right about it this time.

See I heard assistant coach kent Williams on not long ago and he said they're actively recruiting another PG.

So who knows. Maybe Stanton has really started to show something.

Really?

You think we're better as a team with stokes maymon yemi hall and a recruit

Than

Harris, golden, McRae, stokes, maymon starting

Mcbee, Richardson, Edwards, hall and yemi on the bench.

???
If it's one or the other I'd take strength at the post.
Ideally I'd like both.
I think we could hold our own in pre-conference next year with Golden at PG until Stanton comes in.
My biggest concern is that Hall might not be back.
If we could swing a seasoned PG and another big in the off season it would be a big plus.

I guess I'm just skeptical of Stanton. If he can be that 7ppg 5ast 2to guy, who defends well and can break down a zone, and also knock down the open shot, then I'm happy with him.

I'm just not sure if he'll be that guy, or if he's gonna be junior year good where he will demand minutes at the PG. if he is though, then that's huge as you're getting valuable minutes from a walk-on.

I do still think Hall returns though.

How likely is this guy from signing? I've been out of the loop and I haven't heard anything. I did hear he is a pretty good player with a bit of a troubled past. Martin would straighten any discipline problem out though but it would be nice to land this guy.

Right now it appears Tennessee, OSU, Kansas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M are the biggest players.

Tennessee, A&M, and Ole Miss I believe are the only 3 of those schools to have offered though.

TIFWIW

After tonight's showing we def. need him, i dnt think we can make it til 2013 waiting on a solid back up (stanton)

He reminds me impact wise of Pierre javkson(?) from Baylor.

Oddly enough played at the same JUCO as Harris last year, CSI.

yeah pierre jackson does manage the game well for baylor and is very quick.. and the Josh Richardson project at PG needs to be shut down..

I think the richardson thing is more of a who else scenario.

That shows how bad washpun is though, he needs to transfer ASAP.

Amen to that...

And I understand the Richardson situation and so much for the sr. leadership. One would have hoped Tatum could save the day

Yeah. Really exposed tonight.
Think I'll change my stand and agree with ya.
I still like golden and think he can be a solid PG, but this TEAM would benefit from adding an elite PG in Harris.

It solves a few problems by adding just that one guy. We have an issue when our PG is in foul trouble, but if you have Harris and Golden on the squad that's 2 viable options.

Also, one of our weaker positions is the 2/3. By Harris coming in golden can slide to the 2, and be that good scoring option, that can create his own shot from the 2. Then you have massive competition at the 3 with McRae, chievous and Edwards. Hopefully one of the 3 steps up and proves to be solid/consistent.

Harris is also lightning quick and a great defender. This guy should e target 1, 2 and 3 in the off season IMO.

Yea he has a nice swagger like the Holloway kid from Xavier too.. But we need some bigs as well in the future, big need

Sadly, we could have had Holloway if we had wanted him. We told him thanks, but no thanks, because we thought we had Cashmere Wright locked up.

If Harris were to come in Golden moving to the 2 would be a nice move.. But I like Richardson at the 2 also because of his length and defensive prowess

McRae no doubt needs to come off the bench next year and i'm anxious to see what Edwards is able to do at 6'7

Does the new addition affect this recruitment? Or do you think 2 guys will transfer?

I believe atleast 2 are gone with the news of this commitment. I'd expect 2 out of Wes, miller, hall, Reese to not be here.

Personally I'm gonna guess its Wes and miller. Jmo though.

If Fabyon wants to come here there will definitely be room.

Completely agree.. The redshirt for chievous this past season was good also giving him a year to develop, if he struggles next year to earn pt he could be gone as well
