Is there anybody that is more racist than Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?

Pimp, in the black community, specifically places like Orange mound and downtown Memphis where I worked with black kids daily for years, tell me again who is holding those kids back please.
The white man? Not even close. The black community and lack of responsible black men keeps those kids from becoming what is in them. I know, because I did more for some kids than their communities could do. Smart kids were scared to be smart, or "act white at school".

But the man is still blamed and I was a racist to the majority of the community because I was white.
Go figure.

Along these lines, Economist* Walter Williams' research shows that poverty rates among whites and blacks are nearly identical when you control for the structure of the home. Black poverty in single-parent homes is like 39% and among whites it's like 35%. Illegitimacy and single-parent homes are much more common in the black community, so he claims poverty has little to do with how others view your skin color.

I'm not sure if slavery and racism have anything to do with the relatively large number of broken homes in the black community, but at least it appears external influences are not holding them back.

i have over 20 african american woman working in my center and all are single moms raising multiple kids alone. not one is with the dads.

just stating a fact.

THE FREEDOM POST: WITNESS: ZIMMERMAN SHOT TRAYVON MARTIN IN SELF-DEFENSE

This news goes largely unreported, as race-hustling vultures, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, swoop onto the scene to exploit the tragic shooting for personal publicity and political gain, appointing themselves as judge and jury in the Trayvon Martin shooting case.

...... Obama is promoting a race war by inferring that Martin was practically his own son: "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon." He might as well as said, "When you kill Trayvon, you've killed my own son. If you support me, retaliate!"

Of course the media is giving this wall to wall coverage, cherry picking which details to report while ignoring other items like the three black guys in memphis who entered a college dorm and shot to death a white student or the thirteen year old white kid in Kansas City who was followed home by some black teenagers, doused with gasoline and set fire and becoming permantly disfigured.

Racist is a term used to describe how some whites felt about blacks. So, you need a term to describe how blacks felt about whites. That means you would have to know how blacks feel about whites. If bigotted fits for you, roll with it. Bigot basically means obstinately biased toward a group. I don't think blacks are bigoted towards themselves or against whites. That would not work for me. I am mainly saying that white racism birthed the way blacks feel bout whites today, generally. Most likely blacks had no problem with whites before they were brought to America. Whites developed ther didsain for blacks sometime around then I guess. It manifested into something strong and deep over the years, for sure. Eventually blacks developed their own feelings to. Which led to an uprising and a lot of fundamental changes in how America did it's business. And now, here we are. One big happy family.

You are just wrong if you think racism only applies to Caucasians' views of black people. If blacks aren't racist then why do they use the word cracker. I also pose the question as to who you think is still keeping the "n" word around? Yes, I think we can all agree that American slavery was a horrible horrible thing. However, I played no part in it and you were never affected by it. Holding onto the victim state-of-mind only weakens oneself.

In this case, I would start reading from the end and work to the front.

No one is being held back from anything. That is another debate TOTALLY. You must have mistaken something I said. Everybody is free to do what they please now. I understand what you are saying though.

Whites had a problem with black people as a whole, hence racism. Now, blacks never had a problem with whites as a whole ever. Even after slavery was wiped out, why could whites see fit to bar blacks from school? Jim Crowe laws. Why did the National Gaurd have to be called in to "assist' students in entering school? We like Pit Bulls, not German Shepherds; did y'all not get the memo? So many more examples too. All done by whites against blacks (what exactly did we do to cause or deserve this treatment?) -- Blacks use the word cracker to describe cracker ass crackers. That is usually how it works (are you comparing the word cracker to n*gg*r, really?). White people created the way and manner that n*gg*r was used in America. Who cares who keeps it around? It sure does not mean what it meant back when a cracker said it. -- American slavery was TERRIBLE. All the things they did AFTER slavery made the situation worse. The victims of slavery are eternal victims. The gave their life to better another mother****ers life, with no gain at all. How in the hell is that OK? When does that get better? -- I am not weakened in any way by learning and then acknowledging the past history of America (my entire family tree was affected by slavery, in case you did not know or had not heard). Quite the contrary, it is strenghtening to know my/our past. Good day.

what those are are people of color who chose not to be victims

Funny that every occupation or undertaking you listed has been directly affected by what I posted above. Go figure.

Interested to know how any black man is what is wrong with a white society (other than mere presence), including Farakhan. If blacks didn't speak out, we would still be riding the backs of buses and eating our food in alleys and still not voting. We have to make noise. And when you speak out, you are "what is wrong with society". From what I can tell, that is a bunch of bull****; fresh from the bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Farakhan preaches hatred of "the man". In one of the sermons I saw, he talked about how the white man would not be allowed into heaven and "warned" the females of the audience not to be tempted by the"white devil" as it was only a ploy to get his seed into heaven. Do you really see nothing wrong with that or are you seeking to play devil's advocate?

No one can change the past, but to judge any people, regardless of race, by the actions of the past is to damn every single one of us. Trace your way back through history and you will find a litany of sins committed by one race against another. It's not just a "white" thing.

I've heard your defense of the term racism before. Fine, you don't want to call it racism, let's just call it bigotry. Call it hatred of someone because they had the circumastance of being born with a different shade of skin. I really don't care what you call it, it's wrong.

As for Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, they make their living playing on the racial divide in this country. They pretend they want to make it better, but their actions show otherwise. Whatever happenned to "I have a dream"? What happenned to being "judged by the content of your character and not the color of your skin"? MLK had to stir things up to get things moving, Sharpton and Jackson are now in a situation where they could have true dialogue to benefit this nation, but instead, they choose to fan the flames of racist cries and not advance the cause. The truth they won't admit is that if things become better, they become obsolete. This isn't the south of the '60's as much as some would like to believe. Greater progress has been made than most want to acknowledge. We don't live in a perfect world so bigotry will never be completely eliminated. But it accomplishes nothing to scream "racism" every time a white on black crime occurs.

Where do you get your information that all whites had a problem with all blacks? During the days of slavery, I grant you, a majority of whites had a problem with blacks, but not all. There were white families that aided in the Underground Railroad and risked their lives if they were to be caught. How do you know that any white person you walk up to isn't descended from that line? The simple truth is you cannot hold today's society responsible for the sins of society past.
