Renting. I don't think I would but something that close TBH.
Yeah that decreases property value like a mother fawker. But just renting you should get a good deal but you need to check it out for noise reasons. The health risks shouldn't matter as long as your not overexposed for years. that is my opinion though.
But do you think 695 is a "good deal." I'm really not too concerned considering its only for a year or so but do you think that is too much?
That depends on location, BDR/Baths Size. NEW or old. I can rent a small crappy apt in a city for a sh!tload and rent a four bedroom house in the country for the same prices.
I would be worried about the constant buzzing noise produced by those places other than that if you have never heard a transformer blow during a storm it can sound like a bomb going off. the noise would be my only worry and would check it out. You are young and are only signing a year lease I am suspecting. As long as that is a good price for wherever you are in GA the health effects shouldn't matter but I do and did worse things for my health than living by some power lines. Hope this helps ...JMO though
