OSU won't be better w/o Oden.

Why do you say that?

IMO the key to them winning is their guard play, and Conley is much more effective when he has an open lane to drive to the basket and score or dish. Oden is big and slow and gets in the way.

They made their run against UT mostly with Oden on the bench. They tied it up and wiped Xavier out in OT with Oden on the bench. They almost beat UNC at UNC with Oden not even playing. They're a better team w/o him.

Valid food for thought though... OSU has played very well without Oden. I'm starting to agree with the OSU poster who said Conley is more valuable to that team that Oden.

I guess it depends. Against a team like UT where the game is fast paced, you could be right. However, against other teams, Oden is very dominant.

No doubt about it. Especially come tourney time - guard play is more valuable.

Conley has improved alot from earlier this year. He is more efficient with his outside shot. I agree that Oden is less valuable in a full court game, and that Conley is better in a fast paced game.

As Buckeye fans who they would rather have and I don't think there is a doubt who they would say.

I don't know why, but as annoying as I find Dick Vitale, I find Raftery kind of funny. To me he comes off just sort of like Bertelkamp - a guy enjoying a basketball game.

gee, i guess the refs finally decided they could give oden another foul without hurting OSU's chances too much

I'm starting to take back my prediction that Tennessee will beat OSU next year. Our whole lineup may foul out. This is a disgrace.
