And none of that equals your conclusion without considering the differences in the sports, the situations inherited, and the complexity/time requirement for making changes that result in winning.

You are using more superficial reasoning... that isn't reasoning at all. It is emotion masked as reasoning. You latch on to ANYTHING that you feel will give your hatred for Dooley credibility.

I agree. They hate being called Trolls but throw Sunshine Pumper out at anyone who supports Dooley or is waiting to form an opinion.

This pretty much sums up the entire thread.

It's near impossible to compare b/c 1-2 recruits can ultimately be the tipping point for a basketball program, whereas in football is takes 1-2 entire classes.

I get what the OP is saying....Martin has done more with less, but the sports are incomparable.

This thread has went from crazy to straight disturbing.

The facts are Dooley has a crap record with an inexperienced and crappy team of talent. He has restocked the team with talent and should show progress this year. He has some inexplicable losses to less talented teams and hasn't had a signature win to this point.

I think Dooley was the right hire at the time because we needed a transition to restock and get us through the looming NCAA investigation. He was a coach that had potential to be great but to this point hasn't shown anything that warrants keeping him if this year isn't an improvement. He was the guy for the job when he got it but may not be the man to take us to the promise land.
