Is it a bird?
Is it a plane?
No, it's just Scrappy...

Meet Corrie, a 5 year old heinz 57 (obviously, the black lab gene dominated in her):

2007 oct pics 008.jpg

Everywhere you see white hair mixed in with the black, it's not that she's old, she was so mange covered when we found her, and everywhere she had mange, after healing the hair came in black and white.

Meet Corrie's sister (from the same litter), Violet, another 5 year old heinz 57, this time w/ a shepherd gene dominating.

top picture.jpg

It hard to see from these pictures, but Corrie and Violet both have the same white patch on the chest and the same white "Michael Jackson" glove on their front left paw.

And last, but certainly not least, one of the largest long haired German Shepherds that I have ever seen in my life, meet Charlie. The ladies are all crazy about him:

My wife taught Charlie to bring his bowl to her after he's done eating:

Not sure if this youtube still works, but here is Charlie doing his "bring me the bowl" thing:

Just one more pic and then I'll stop crowding this thread. :)

This is the ever-going "stick game". They find sticks along the tree line by one of the fences, and then it's on between the largest and the smallest of the pack. Daisy likes to play referee:

This is Lucy. We think she's Border Collie/Aussie/Chow/whatever else you can think of. Found under a mailbox and no one else wanted her.

She's almost 3 and catches a mean frisbee. Best part of my day.

That's it. We're at six dogs and holding.

No more vacancies in the holler...

...unless it's a dire emergency.

Needless to say, we have learned a whole lot about dog behavior, dog training, dog body language, dog problems and solutions.

A few of my dogs compete for it. It's really pretty pathetic, one will be taking a dump and another is lining up behind to check it out.

They seem to prefer them in the dead of winter. Dog fudgesicles, I reckon.

Gross. I saw her digging in the leaves nibbling on something. When I pried her mouth open I saw a mouth full of poop!

How beautiful! You have a great little family! I love the pics of Scrappy too, especially him bounding through the air.

She's precious! Very cute.

Dogs are so much cooler than cats it ain't even fair.

I had outdoor dogs and cats growing up and I liked both. I had an indoor cat that I loved to death that died a few years ago. I bawled like a baby.

However, since I've had Colby, and now Peyton, I'm completely and utterly a dog person. Dogs love so unconditionally. They get soooo excited when I come home every day. They are fiercely loyal and are great friends.

Please!

Post all you want. I hope everyone that has a dog posts a pic and/or story. I enjoy it.

I hope "Sammy" makes an appearance.
