Andrew Bone: Huntsville LB Cameron Toney told me he was offered by #Auburn today. He also has offers from #Bama, #MissSt, #Tennessee
Again unless something changes he does not have a firm offer from UA. I also read he will not commit until NSD, but anything can happen.
Not trying to be smart here but is any offer from bama a firm offer unless you are 5*? Your post mentions a bama offer.
Alot of the intitial offers are conditional based on several things. Early offers usually are based on coming to summer camp for the staff can work with you and evaluate the prospect, hence why UA gets alot of verbal commits during the summer. Once the staff sees a player and likes them allows them to commit. Sometimes it may be a grade issue or they are told others are ahead of them on the board and have to wait. Just the nature of the beast in recruiting.
