1. If Arkansas doesn't fire Stan Heath, they're making a big mistake. When your team quits on you in an NCAA tournament game, you need to be gone. 2. I guess the delusional nimrods in Lexington will take credit for UK's victory. They'll say the pressure they are putting on Tubby got the team going in the right direction. 3. On a related note, UK will give Kansas all they want Sunday. The Jayhawks won't intimidate them one bit. 4. Arizona should be embarassed. However, given their lack of pride and intestinal fortitude, I'm sure they aren't bothered at all. 5. Tennessee-Virginia will be another game played at warp speed. The shot clock may not get below 25 seconds all game. 6. Winthrop has a real shot to advance. Oregon isn't anything special. 7. Wisconsin is done. UNLV should take them out Sunday. 8. Tim Floyd isn't getting near the credit he should for what SC is doing. That is a program on the fast track. 9. Virginia Tech-Southern Illinois will be one of the ugliest games in tournament history. First team to 40 wins. 10. Florida will annihilate Purdue. The talent disparity in that game in excessive.

Love the sound of the Tennessee/Virginia game being played at a fast pace. I like UT's chances more often than not in a game like that.

Wonder who Arkansas would persue in the event Heath is canned?

If you're right about Wisconsin, it could be the ESPN All Access curse striking again. Two years ago, they followed Washington. Of course, last year, they followed UT.

If Heath were fired, the first two names that come to mind for me are Gregg Marshall and Scott Sutton.

as in Eddie's son?

this has to be one of the most uneventful first rounds in the tourney in recent history.

you think he would leave OSU? I see them trying to make a big splash by going after a "name" coach ala' Bama in football. They'll find the money to pay someone of note.

Considering the history of the Arkansas program, I could really see them going after Anderson. Of course, he's still new at Missouri, and they may have him locked into that contract with a big buy-out.

1. Scott Sutton is the coach at Oral Roberts. Sean Sutton is the coach at Oklahoma State. 2. As long as Frank Broyles is alive, I have a better chance of coaching Arkansas than Mike Anderson.

Ah....didn't know about the bad blood in the AD's office with Anderson. Do you think they'll give Greg Marshall a serious look? He seems to be horrible in interviews, but I bet finally getting a first round win will get him in the door.

Of course the curse is kind of negated when it comes to following UT since they have played subpar ball in the tourney for years.

Well according to TVA, they would go after Pearl and he would bolt.

There's a better chance of Al Franken being named Chairman of the RNC than there is of Self or Gillespie giving Arkansas so much as a thought.

The sports reporters over here must be delusional then.
Prior to the SEC tourney, they had Heath out, and either Self or Gillespie coming in.

I agree that it's a stretch, but now that they've tanked in the first round, it's starting again..

If those writers and reporters were any good, they wouldn't be working in Arkansas. It's not like Fayetteville and Little Rock are media meccas that draw the best and brightest.

Neither Bill may end up at Arkansas, but if Heath leaves, that's who their going after..

Then they will be wasting their time. Leaving Kansas to go to Arkansas would be like leaving The Rolling Stones to join Right Said Fred. Gillespie might eventually leave A&M, but it will be a job a whole lot better than Arkansas.

Who knows, Heath may not be leaving..

Someone actually called in to a morning show last week, and said if Heath goes Arkansas should get Summitt.

They didn't keep him on very long
