Simply trying to drive people towards subscribing. The (ESPN $) in the tweets gives that away. He also says to look out for UNC in regards to Q Davis. From the information we have from the VQ guys, it seems Newberg is going to be wrong on both accounts.

yep saw that too. wondering the samething. just trying to get volfans to follow him on twitter.

Would be fun to score all the recruiting service "experts" at the end of the season each year. Would make it easier to pay attention to the right ones the next season.

Just to ensure I am correct. This All Vol talk is coming from Austin Price and no other source at this time?

Those aren't Austin Price's feelings, but rather him quoting Otha after speaking with him on the phone.

I just talked to Otha and he said, "There is NO way that I don't sign with Tennessee on Wednesday."

I hope this is true. A few things to factor in:

1) the 3-4 transition difficulties other teams have experienced

2) coaching...

Looking at how Saban used Cody, and how effective he was, I think a huge part of McCullers' success is going to be dependant up Sal's (and the new DL coach's) ability to train him and utilize him. By many accounts he's got more skill and ability than Cody, so the tools should be there. I just hope the scheme and coaching are as well.

Exactly. I am skeptical of us going to 3-4 primarily. True we have the players but installing a new scheme with such an important season on the line is kind of scary. I'm sure the coaches realize this and will scheme around what our players are comfortable with. I just want some consistent pass rush.

Yeah he's big but played kind of soft when I saw him. Made some really bad decisions throwing the ball too.

They are beatable but are better overall than many think with respect to their roster. They have some pretty decent RB's. I think D is where they'll struggle to make the speed adjustment. Teams with good speed usually give them fits... but they've only had to play 2-4 with SEC level speed.

Their offensive scheme is pretty good and they've done it for a long time now. They won't have as many match up advantages vs the SEC though.

Yeah I think they are beatable, but might give us more trouble than we really want from them. UT needs to stay healthy to have some consistency on both offense and defense.

I think they will be a good challenge for us though.

Do they have a good QB to get him the ball? Man, I gotta get used to this whole Mizzou and aTm in the SEC thing now...

James Franklin grew up a lot last year as a true soph. He's solid...has a good enough arm to make all of the necessary throws, and has good speed and quickness. Not sure how he'll translate to SEC, but he's not a slouch of a QB. In short, yes, he can get DGB the ball.

Love this idea - would like to see all of their % corrects and I think we would see that quite a few of them are just talking out of their ^$$ and have no real expertise or connections

Very scary... still, very exciting as well. Looking forward to next season. And yes, it would be nice to see QB's running scared!

Also, :pepper: for skeeter's "VFL" post.
