Auburn's rivals has said they are out of it for CP

LOL -- they have always been out of it for him.

I said many months ago that it would come down to Tennessee and Georgia and that the smart move for him to take was Tennessee.

Of course recruits don't always make wise choices, so he could still pick Georgia, but with him shooting for "one and done" (as do all top JUCO's), I believe he will see that the best chance for that is at Tennessee and he will be a Vol on NSD.

I wonder how patterson fits into the lineup. Does he fill in for both Hunter and Rogers? He seems like he can do what both those receivers do, and be the depth at both outside spots with no dropoff. Does one of the three slide inside to slot? Or would we see all three rotating equally at split end, flanker, and slot? The possibilities this receiver presents playing with Hunter and Rogers are truly astounding, and something I'm very interested in. Hopefully Patterson sees how terrifying he, and the other two could be. If he lives up to his hype, and signs with UT, I think we would see the most intriguing 3 wide in all of tennessee history. Maybe even in all SEC history. It would certainly be a show, I know that!

Another question...having those three lined up together, would that be an instant fix for the running game? I don't see any D-coordinator anywhere that would load the box and dare that lineup to throw the ball. Not even on 2nd and 1 yard to go.

Has anyone read the sticky about keeping recruits' threads on topic? Seems like out of ever 5 pages of posts on some of these threads there may be 7 or 8 posts that have anything to do with the recruit...Not bustin ya'lls bawls or nothin', but Wow!

FWIW, this is one of those posts you're talking about.

The reason is that a lot of people come here to escape the football forum so they do all of their talking here. It causes threads to get off topic, but it's better than the alternative.

yeah, kind of like complaining about complaining. But i wasnt really complaining or even saying it should stop, i was just pointing it out. Its funny because since that sticky was posted it seems like the digression of the threads increased by several times. Kinda tickled my funny bone.

The mods have done a really good job today of sticking all the off topic posts in the "random chatter" thread. These may end up there actually. Haha.

i keep waiting for all the smart kids in the class to start jeering and yelling "digression!" in unison. Thankfully i wake up and realize that it was all a bad dream and im not really in school anymore.

nothing like a desperate, awkward, creepy and self degrading love letter to a football recruit to show that we care!

If only there was someone...

If I wanted to be the laughing stock of UT interwebs, be called out on the radio, have UT deliver me a letter to stop, have a recruits mother call me out, have my likeness plastered all over web sites, and have my name added to the pedophile watchlist

I would do it

Skeet, OCI, SBV, anyone else have any news about the in-home visit last night with Coach Hinshaw?

VN could sure use an "(e)scape goat".

The letter from UT and the last part didn't happen, did it?

Not even on 4th and 1....

Hinshaw is very confident but there remains some doubt from others. CP unlikely to reveal much prior to NSD.

He instantly picks up where Arnett left off to start the season and pulls the weakest DB (the others will be covering Hunter and Rogers) and he will shine! Hope Hinshaw explains that to him and he should be a lock! He will get 20-30 more opportunities for catches per game at UT than GA anyway with Crowell and their system.

I agree that it would help our running game. This may not be the sole factor to fix it, but if we have Hunter, Rogers, and CP out there that will take a load off. Rogers was doubled most of the year and still did great. Do if you put one man in coverage on each + SS and FS you are going to have 5 guys struggling to cover them.
