Make no mistake...this one will hurt if it happens...we would have 1 stud LB and one project in a class where we needed at least 4 and at least 2 that could help pretty fast...

This one pisses me off cause we could have gone several differant directions at this position if we had known this sooner...now we're going to have to scramble and likely won't find a replacement anywhere near his caliber

It will be ok buddy.

yea backing out on us last minute is ***** league.

As much as I hate losing Santos, it is no different than what our coaches do. Several long time commits have been asked to look elsewhere. If it's ok for our coaches to drop them for a better player, the recruit can drop us for a better opportunity. Just the name of the game.

"my heart is in Tennessee unless Texas decides im not sloppy seconds"

"I'm 99.9% Vol unless Texas offers"

:)

It's always possible you will loose a recruit if the big state school offers. It sucks that these recruits will alow the state school to pass them over all year long and then last minute jump in and know they can get the kid late if they miss on another kid. #1 ILB in the country and he was slow played by the horns and still get him. Must be nice!

kid is good. contrarily, dont like our lb situation as much. weve fallen behind here. well be fine.

now. for the first time in ten years i can confidently say tn is on the right path on the ol and dl. we will be fine at lb we can find ath and walk ons here.

dl tho? gotta have talent. which if uve watched what ive watched since 2005 we havent had one great dl. save malik jackson. who was tech a de.

as for santos. imo hell go to texas. hope hes a vol. but been around recruiting too long fellas

The sad thing about all this is Texas doesn't really want him. Like someone else mentioned, he's a last minute option as far as they're concerned. If they really wanted him, they would've been recruiting him all along. Tennessee really wants him. The fans already love the guy, whereas Texas fans could care less whether or not he ends up there. Hopefully Dalton goes where he's truly wanted, not where he's being offered a scholarship as a last resort.

I am probably in the minority but I don't really mind if we lose Santos.

I will gladly trade him for a solid DT.

I like were we are with our LBs.

We are still thin at DT.

Just my two cents. If he stays with UT, great.

If not, not a big deal to me if we can land a solid DT with his spot.

Question for SBV or skeet.

Are we seeking a medical shirt for lathers? I know he is eligible. If he has two more yrs I would feel a lot better about our LB situation. If he only has one yr I don't want to be back to depending on young guys again in 2013
