I think his raw potential alone makes him a 1st rounder, but I do agree with you he would be best to stay 4 years. Doubt that happens, though, if we have a good year next year.
In that case, though, I can live with it.![]()
His problem was off field concerns, not his skill level. I think the Vikings goofed up in taking Christian Ponder as early as they did. Should have traded back late in the first and then grab Mallet or Dalton.Raw potential wont do it. look at mallet last year. he was an established qb with the most upside of any guy in the draft. tons of raw potential but still a big time proven qb. big arm, great measurables, slight chance of off field problems (like our bray) and he still went in 3 or 4 wasnt it?
ya gotta be super polished or a damn good dual threat to get in the first round.

Now, switching the channel back to Patterson. I hope this guy sees the opportunity to be part of the sickest offense in the SEC if not the country. With him onboard, Chaney will make him the 3rd WR and run a lot more 3-4WR sets than normal. That is just too much size and talent not to utilize.
This is where Green Bay dominated for much of the year...large WR's and an accurate QB that could get them the ball. Their running game? Not so threatening.
I think we got a Chris Johnson clone in Q. Watson, and a real baller in Borque, so this offense has the potential to be scary good this year.
I disagree. I think Bray plays 4 years.
He needs to, at the very least.

I'M not. Blast away
He hasn't proven much yet. Look at the competition he has played while here. I'm not bashing him, I think he's a solid QB.
I just need to see him do it against NC State, UF, Bama, Missouri, UGA, USCjr, etc.
Not Buffalo, Memphis, Vandy, Kentucky and Cincinnati.
Bray still has ALOT to prove. Hunter definitely helps.
I agree with you to an extent. I think Bray has all of the tools to be great. His attitude is brought into question a lot, but I think those are just rumors. I think people try to read into the way he reacts to things too much. At any rate, I think we need to take into account that our run game is/was absolute garbage. That doesn't help our QB when the opposing defense can blitz us to death or play cover and he can't trust his check-down guy to make a play, on like a 3rd and long, for example.
