What other way is there to go on those facts. It's certainly not a positive thing that it's out in the open like that. Plenty of posters on this board have confirmed the negativity surrounding that program. UT may have problems, but I'm glad we don't have those kind.

What makes you say that VOTP?? If he goes to Auburn, who is going to throw him the ball?? They don't have an average passing QB, much less a great one. Is Chizik going to change Auburn from a "run first" team to a passing attack??

His stated goals have not changed -- a fast track into the pros. I just cannot imagine him thinking that is available for him at Auburn.

Just curious as to what is giving you doubts about this.

mlsoft

Trooper told me.

Insert money joke, dollar sign, etc.

But he will have a great opportunity at Auburn to be "the guy" which is what he so clearly wants.

VOP, I know it's not directly related to Patterson but why the hell did Trotter declare for the draft?

To give the Colts a really tough decision, obviously.

Just kidding. It was my understanding he was just quitting football, not going pro. I know he finished his degree about a year ago.

Gotcha. On twitter they made it seem like he was going pro. Hell, even Clay Travs made a wise crack about it (sarcasm).

I don't honestly know if he will try it or not. He's one of the players I know pretty well because we're from the same area and he's not short on confidence, even after all he's been through.

Patterson was at Ole Miss last week on a visit and left Oxford impressed.

"The visit went great. It was better than I thought it would," Patterson said.

Patterson claims to be wide open to Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss. The 6-4, 205 pound Patterson has visited all four schools and plans on taking a fifth visit before making a decision on his college future.

"Right now, I'm set up to go to LSU the last weekend of the month," Patterson said. "I'm wide open to everyone. It's going to come down to where I'm most comfortable with the school and coaches and the place my family is most comfortable with."

This week, Patterson's family is scheduled to host LSU head coach Les Miles and Ole Miss' Hugh Freeze. On Wednesday, Vol assistant coach Darin Hinshaw is expected to visit with Patterson

Notice that the other schools are sending head coaches and we are sending an assistant. I think we have moved on to other WR prospects and for good reason but are keeping a hand in the basket just in case.

Naw... it's cause Hinshaw carries bigger stones then all of em'.

CP's recruitment made me think of something funny that should happen if players can't get academically qualified: along with all the school hats that they pick from when they make their decision, there should be a dunce cap that they have to put on an then hang their head in shame
