I agree. In the all star game he was much larger and controlled the O-lineman trying to block him. He could go NT or DT in a multiple front.

How much does the Sunseri hire help here?

Could help in more ways than one. Obviously Sunseri's recruiting ability helps the relationship. Also, if Goldman sees Sunseri leaving Bama as a negative and it pushes him to FSU, it could cause Shanks to lean more toward us.

I would expect Tennessee to become more of a factor now for Tomlinson as well.

Not Breakerboy but DE in a 3-4. Has a build and attributes similar to Sentimore but lacks the constant motor and some of his quickness. If he keeps eating tho.. *ahem*

Shanks is a lot like Jesse"whoppa choppa"(as we called him back when we played against him lol) Chapman. But he's a lot bigger than Chop was in HS. Shanks will be a very good NG in the 3-4.

I was kind of leaning towards Shanks looking more like a NG as well. The guy has the frame to be quite a bit bigger than he currently is too. I could see where some view him as a DE too in a 3-4 but I kind of think NG like you.
