Finally. Whether Dooley ultimately succeeds or not, I've heard enough of that butt hurt so called journalist. He lost his teat when Dooley refused him the unfettered access he had under Fulmer, embarrassed him when questioned about it, and Hyams is still smarting over it.

He suffered through two years of Hades because of the mess Fulmer/Kiffin left... ie 3 consecutive recruiting class busts, NCAA problems, discipline problems, program image problems, etc... and now has a roster that is becoming SEC credible again. The DC in particular will inherit a very talented young unit.

FWIW, if DD cannot get it done then he will leave the program more "attractive" than he found it.

:good!: DD will get it done. The program is much better off now than when he arrived. He has been thrown a couple curve balls recently, but he will overcome. Had JW & company not left, we all would be trying to determine if we finish in the top 5 in recruiting this year or not. Most would be happy with the job he has done.

Woke up to the rumor that DD wasn't impressed with SS in the interview process and no job was offered. Anybody hear that?

Dooley does need to find people that he wants on his staff. I have no problem with that at all. If Sal wasn't a good match for him, then move right along.

Skeeter, Larry, Doc, other gurus...any news to report this morning?

Yeah, really if Wilcox & Sirmon hadn't left, I would be happy about the other changes. That is a good way of thinking about it.

I have a fellow big orange fan who takes this view on Dooley. He lost all the games that he was supposed to lose. And he won all the games that he was supposed to win...with one exception. So if you look at it that way, he really only messed up once. We will know a lot more this time next year. As AD Hart said, we ain't young anymore.

For the second time, calling all of the insiders on this board. You guys haven't posted much since this thread started yesterday. Any more news that you can give us crazy Vol fans about what you are hearing? Where exactly is Spring Bok Vol? I don't think that I have seen him post, since he said RS may be almost a done deal. Of course, I could have just missed his posts. SBV, where are you? We need to be enlightened on the situation in the AD.

As of yesterday was led to believe Sal would accept the position and be announced today. I really believe only dooley and hart know what is going on, none of the coaches know either. The media guys are really earning their money trying to dig up information on this thing.

I just cant imagine this weekend going well if a dc is not in place. the offensive guys will be fine, defensive side will be another story.
