Was at Kroger today and they had a precooked beef brisket packaged in shrink wrap that looked very tasty and I thought it said the price was $19.95. It was 5 lbs. and they had a smaller size. Got up to the checkout counter and it rang up $39.95. Sorta freaked me out. Bought it anyways. It better be the best brisket I have ever had.

Cool story brah.

Did you cook the roast?

This is the 4th time asking. Did you try it the way I suggested and it sucked? Is that why you don't want to answer? If so, you did it wrong....hahaha.

Seriously I'm curious.

You talking about the pork roast on new years day? Yeah, I said it was delectable. Turned out very tender and tasty. Fell apart with a fork. Thanks for the help with it.

Sorry. I guess I was thinking about Jhen.

I hope that brisket is good. My problem with precooked stuff like that is they usually use a bunch of spices and/or marinade that I don't like.

How are you planning to cook/heat it?

It says to put 1/4 cup of water in a pan with it, seal it up with aluminum foil and cook it for 15 minutes per pound or something like that. Any suggestions?

Not really. I guess you bought it precooked so you didn't have to spend a lot of time on it.

If it weighs 5 lbs. and says heat it 15 minutes per pound, that's 1 hr and 15 minutes. Throw it on your grill.

Put it in a crock pot and cover it with BBQ sauce or the oven on low heat.

I don't know man, I guess it would depend on how it was spiced to begin with.

If it's thawed already, cut it in 1/3 pieces and try it three different ways.

Just thinking out loud.

I'll probably just put it in the oven. The barbecue sauce idea sounds intriguing. I'll see how it tastes first like you said to see whats already on it.

H shoulda bought squirrel...40 dollars for precooked meat. Hell naw.
sup
If you haven't opened get receipt and return..:hi:

you could also add a cup of Dale's seasoning along with the water as you reheat it

My dad and brother love to use that with venison. Sorry Ill, even watered the f down it's just too salty for me. JMO tho.

it surprised me,that it's one of the top selling meat enhacers on the market

Lady Gaga was the highest ($$$) grossing female singer in the year 2011.

According to an article I read on, yes, the internet.

Just sayin'.

With that said, I like Dales, I just wish it wasn't soooo salty.

You could soak a carrot in it overnight to draw some of the salt out, but evidently a lot of people don't mind it and must love it.

With the mention of carrots, is there any truth to the old wives tale of putting a carrot or a potato in beans to cut back on the gas?

Yes, if there are carrots and/or potatoes in the beans, obviously you eat less beans and therefore have less gas.

:)
