He has a better winning percentage as a HC than Dooley, and he was a DC for years at the U before being promoted to HC. Additionally, he is an outstanding recruiter. Dooley was never a coordinator on either side of the ball, and is a decent to good recruiter. Dooley has pedigree but not much else. On paper Shannon is an upgrade over Dooley as a HC.

I'm not advocating Shannon as the next HC for the Vols just pointing out how under qualified that Dooley is to be the HC at Tennessee.

Just my two cents.

You got that right. When one of the so-called insider's called another so-called insider an "idot", I figured we were dealing with a 3rd grade (or 12th grade in E Tenn) educated individual.

Personally, I really don't care who is hired as DC. CDD has a mess on his hands in more ways than one. An ignorant and impatient fanbase has become CDD's worst enemy. Never thought I would see the day when these so-called fans would turn on UT.

Shannon has a stellar crap record in the crap ACC. He was not a good HC.

And here is a photo that I took of him with some new kid he brought along on the trip. Randy said this guy is going to be our starting tailback in September. Sorry, I didn't catch his name. Good size for a tailback. Randy personally clocked him with a 40 yard dash time of 4.37. I told them that we already had Marlin and Tom Smith but the kid has his heart set on being a Vol.....so whatever...

So I'm at work and can't really keep up.. Is the Shannon to UT thing still just speculation? Anymore proof?

Reminds me of How he played the first couple of games...hopefully this isn't a fluke and golden actually becomes golden in sec play
