Sorry buddy, but you are dreaming if you think UTK touches Wake academically. Wake is a top 25 academic school for undergrad in the nation (per U.S. News) and has one of the highest records of academic integrity. Kids earn the grades they get, and there is grade deflation as opposed to inflation that consistently occurs at public schools.
Tennessee competes for sure in graduate programs, but as far as undergrad goes, there aren't many non-ivy league schools where you can get a better education.
As far as academic support for athletes, I would say that Wake definitely takes care of there athletes and a great deal of them end up graduating and going on to grad school.
Please tell me that you went to Wake, pal.
Lyfe? There instead of their...hope you are not a product of UT Knoxville.
The prestige and ranking of a school does not correlate with your education. That most closely correlates with effort and desire of the individual student. At the end of the day, Q Davis will be just fine with a degree from UTK.
I am 100% UT Volunteer homer...What is your agenda?

If u use us news as your definitive parameter for academic ranking then wake forest didn't educate you all that well.
I was not trolling or anything. I am a Tennessee fan first and foremost, there have been multiple occasions when I have chosen to watch or attend UTK games over Wake Forest games. The Vols come first before the Deacs in my book...
I got accepted to both Tennessee and Wake Forest and felt that Wake gave me the better opportunity to graduate with a degree from what is "considered" one of the best schools in the Southeast. There were people smarter than me that went to Tennessee, and I would never try to knock Tennessee's academics. Probably should have not said anything, but felt I should attempt to defend my school.
What I will say is that, the person more than the school will influence how successful one can be.
As on grade inflation at Wake: It is a fairly well documented fact that the average Wake GPA is traditionally low. They have started to adjust policy to allow for students to get higher grades to combat other schools having high GPA.
As for the idiot who commented on my screen name. Volfan4lyfe has been my screen name on several websites and in no way reflects my intelligence...lyfe would be pronounced the same as life. Seriously reaching there buddy, I mean really.
In college what's more important is the prestige of the individual majors and programs within the university. I go to utk and am in a top 20 program even though utk would never be considered a top 20 university.

But he also knows he is a damn good football player as well. We kill them in foosball tradition, & exposure. I know you can get discovered at ETSU, but I think UT with it's great foosball tradition, and pretty good academics can be a happy medium for Q.That's exactly how this discussion started. He stated academics are huge in his decision. He is an honors student with over a 4.0 GPA.
