For all the people that complain about Rivals, just remember Scout is far worse. They are very biased towards the midwest. You'd think they'd learn after a while that the south is where the talent is, but after all these years they still dont seem to get it. They also think there are something like 70 or 80 WR's better than Alton Howard too.

Alton Howard is best small WR in the country IMO. Don't know to many WRs that are better with the ball in their hands.

being named to an all american squad isnt indicative on the star system.

its a superlative for having a great season, it doesnt have a bearing on whether he's a 4 or 5 star, and it doesnt speak to a players potential or transition to the next level.

You know that's the funniest thing with recruiting services. When it goes with how they feel they use the gaudy stats as a reason. Then when it behooves them they use projected abilities.

I agree, JMoore. I think Davis signs with UT in the end. I was just thought it was interesting enough information to post.

When the 4* doesn't have any offers from the in-state schools and has been under the radar throughout the recruiting process, I can see that 4* sticking with the school that has been on him the hardest and for the longest time. Even if it is a less prestigious football school such as Wake.

From all reports, this guy would be a nice target for Peterman in a couple years. Blazing speed is overrated when it comes to a WR. Route-running is much more important.

I was just joking. And I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but I don't think Davis should be a four star to begin with.
