A good handgun

i just feel like i will get bored with a .22 and the 9mm is pretty much the next cheapest ammo. plus i don't foresee myself having a large amount of time to shoot anyway, so ammunition costs won't be that big of a deal anyway.

I'm asking the questions now because I don't know the answers. I haven't shot or bought ammo in 10-12 years even though I still have my guns.

Are 9mm rounds cheaper than 38's?

I have two Intratec machine pistols. One is 22 the other is 9mm. I have two 50 round clips for the 22 and two 30 round clips for the 9. The 9 has never been shot because of how fast it goes through money (bullets).

i believe so. Over the summer a friend and I looked into that and i think we found that 9mm rounds were cheaper. It may have been just barely more expensive, but i believe it was cheaper.

Just did a quick check. 9mm are between 6 and 8 dollars cheaper per 50 rounds (obviously compared the same brands and grains).

I only ask because a long time ago I was told that a large percentage (don't remember the number, but it was in the 90"s.....and I can't confirm or even say I believe it), of "innocent bystanders" were killed by 9mm hitting the target and going straight through them and hitting and killing someone else because they were so fast.

I guess my point is, I love my Colt Python 6" Blue Obviously .357 magnum. Even tho I rarely do, I can fire .38 with it.

S&W automatic triggers are terrible. Make sure you shoot one before you buy. Get something that your comfortable with. Fugate's Firearms near the Cleveland area will let you try out any of their used handguns for $5. That way you know what you get before you buy. Check them out when your in the area.

i will definitely try to look into that while i am there. but automatic triggers? what does that mean?

Indiana,

Go old school.....

Get a daisy lever action BB gun. Shoot your brother 50-100 times, get your azz whipped by your mom or worse, dad.

Then let your grampa take you squirrel hunting (sorry hman) with a Winchester 20 gauge single shot shotgun.

Go to Hickman County (West TN) with a Marlin 30-30 lever action and hunt some deer.

After your first Kill, you will be ready for a Bow.

Find one you like, spend a bunch of money on the arrows and fletching that suits you.

Spend hours upon hours practicing on rolls of hay.

Now, get a muzzle loader, I'll spare the steps. Kill a deer with one and you will be ready for a pistol and you won't have to ask anyone anything.
