Sorry guys when the competition is against MSU, I always think we will win. I know what happened with Autry. Jacobs seemed a bit rushed to make the decision the first time. I think we get him tomorrow.

Havent heard anything negative on Crawley. Now Mcneil the coaches have concerns with.

While I would agree with your assessment otherwise, aren't most of these kids desperate for attention? Like the kids who put 2 or 3 hats in front of them, or take one hat off to reveal another underneath or whatever?

I do not understand that part of "enjoying the process" at all.

I think Jacobs will commit to MSU also, but the notion that he would have a ceremony or PC or whatever to announce he's staying committed to UT would not surprise me in the least.

It just seems unnecessary for someone who is about to be a junior in college. Makes you appreciate players like Mo Couch. He was busy recruiting for us and becoming a fan favorite this time last year. Meanwhile , Jacobs wants to play the "pick a hat game".

Yeah but then again, anyone who's been following his recruitment knows it hasn't been a solid commitment for a good long time. I could see him announcing to make UT a final destination as well. But we'll see. I'm going to prepare for him to go to MSU, but hope that he signs his LOI to UT.

I definitely agree that it's beyond stupid. It's not unheard of though, and not a reason to write him off.

This is why you keep recruiting til the loi is signed. Happens every year it seems. Autry told Thompson during his visit he was all vol. Right now the coaches are being told Jacobs is a vol, but they wont be near as shocked if Jacobs goes somewhere else as they were with Autry.

Skeet, in your opinion, if its true that Jacobs will stick with his commitment to Tennessee do you think it could be a sign that we may have flipped Autry? Because I know many expect those 2 to end up at the same school together in college. Or do you still think Autry is MSU bound?

Yeah, losing Autry hurt. Dawson last year hurt badly too. But you're right, at least this time the coaches can prepare themselves in case he decides to go elsewhere. I sure hope he stays with UT though. Let's hope the coaches truly have him on board still.

Which is why OCI said what he did, along with many others. You would think this would be enough for the LynxVols of the world, but it still wont be.

OCI, what's going on with autry do you know if he is having any second thoughts going into the JUCO signing day? Or is he all MSU?
