If McKeffery can work his magic, our D-line will be much better this next season. Let me ask you something skeet, do you agree that our O-line is soft?? By soft, I mean they don't have that nasty mean streak to just mess someone up. It's like they are just a bunch of nice guys playing football.
Okay then by your argument Da'Rick became an All-SEC 1,000 yard WR because of coaching. Did the same coaches not work with ZR? spend less time with him? Did he not go to practice? The difference is talent.
vol fans right now.
volnation currently has more than 4,000 people online and i will assume the majority of those are football fans.
now, say 3,000 of those fans are ready to fire dooley and very unhappy with the program at the moment. those 3,000 will help spread the negativity to atleast 5 other people each with our grand total of unsatisfied customers being 15,000. thats a little bit more than 15% of neylands capacity.
heres what i propose. everyone settle down and wait to pass judgement on this staff til after its 3rd year. if we dont see serious improvement next year and be competitive in most games like most of us expect, ill in return expose who i am and personally have a dunking booth set up outside the stadium and everyone is invited down to take his or her best shot. oh, ill do it in january.
we'll have some fun one way or the other next year. any takers?
Thats a good point, but Z Rogers was further along than D. Rogers last year. D. Rogers even admitted he was terrible at running routes. That's something that has to be coached.Whenever he finally worked on it and was coached up, his ability easily surpassed Z Rogers. If we go by pure talent alone, Da'Rick would have been involved in the passing game more last year
Yea I feel that way some. I was at the game unfortunately. It was a gut check after 26 years and my 1st visit to commonwealth stadium. I don't have any answers only big concerns of perceived lack of effort and inconceivable lack of rushing. Is it the sprint draw scheme blocking that explains why we are close to bottom nationally or don't we have backs hitting the hole. I'm not advocating firing CDd after 2 years but something is broke why isn't it fixed yet.vol fans right now.

An o-line that blocked for a thousand yard rusher last year, couldn't get any push this year, even against Montana.
Poole also regressed.
We lost to Kentucky and were lucky to beat Vandy.
First back to back losing seasons in a 100 years.
We didn't score in the second half for 5 or 6 weeks in a row at one point.
I agree the defense did improve throughout the season but that's because we actually have a competent coach as a DC unlike the head coach.
Yea he will be missed, you can't replace him, but hopefully we can get someone solid.
Yea, we did. People seem to forget we had to deal with too many HUGE injuries. Of course the team is going to look worse. We are playing backups.
Skeeter, What are you hearing about the recievers coach?
Rucker said that Tee martin would be very interested if we went after him.
Quit making crap up. Not true at all that 3000 out of 4000 are ready to fire Dooley. First of all, anybody with any sense knows a radical change would only set this program back further, is what got us into this mess, and is not warranted considering we all knew this was still rebuilding year with our last-year's young freshmen, becoming this year's young sophomores.
Secondly, look at the polls on here; they are about 3 to one give Dooley more time. Quit inventing crap, you troll.
