sorry if this has been posted...

Who do you think will be Tennessee's top 5 toughest games next year in football?

Unbiased, I would still put USC up there because of their senior QB and RB tandem coming back. UGA (as much as I hate to say it) will be formidable.

i think #3 and #4 can be interchangable(sp?), i know bama has Saban and all but I still dont think they're going to be that great this year. however, they obviously will still be a very tough squad to be as they usually are

I don't think UF will be nearly as tough next year with the inexperience at the QB position. Tebow will have to throw this year. Of course you play UF at UF so thats a whole different story. They have an amazing recruiting class.

tebow could be a question mark for them. however, tebow is currently surrounded by enough talent to make up for his lack of experience IMO.

They are replacing a QB, but they have plenty of talent and a great coach.

I think Alabama will better than Georgia this year, Saben has tons of talent to work with on that team and UGA lose's a few guys on D....plus I need to see more from Stafford before i think he is a good QB....

i hope you are right in that Bama will be tougher than uga this year because that will mean uga is not as good as i think they are. i just think they finished the season last year on a positive note and while i hate to say it, Stafford grew up a lot last year. the biggest mistake richt made was not starting him from day 1 IMO. I just think Bama is still in too much dissarray(sp?) to be extremely competitive next year. Of course, they could have a lot of their issues worked out by the time the 3rd Sat. in Oct. comes around

Fair enough.

Bama will be tough, no doubt. Saban beat us in Baton Rouge in his first year with probably less talent than bama has now... I was there unfortunately.

And this year's game is in Birmingham.

Florida
Georgia
Alabama
South Carolina
Cal

I wouldn't put that much stock in Saban beating us with a freshman named A.J. Suggs. Unfortunately, that is when LSU started to turn it around and we started to turn it around in the other direction, except for 2001, our last "better than average" year.

Kentucky could be number 5 as well. They should be better than last year, and they were't too bad last year.

I'll certainly give you that Suggs wasn't a world beater... but I remember us spotting them a 24-6 lead in the first half, and AJ Suggs almost bringing us back to win that game... but thats beside the point. I remember Rashad Baker getting beat like a rented mule in that game... Saban exploited our weaknesses. Fulmer is 1-2 against Saban, and we had a better team every time.

Thats why I'm worried about Saban at Alabama.

Florida only has two starters returning on thier D this year and they have to play us early. I see us winning that game.

I think all 5 are top 20 teams next year. The only reason I don't say Florida is that they are currently overrated at #1, not nationally, but conferencely (?), if that's possible. LSU was probably better, and a couple others were at least as good. They squeeked through to win the SEC, any of 5 teams that did that could have whipped Ohio St. I think we're their first test next year, and I think they'll go into half time down by 2 scores blindsided by the recollection of how tough SEC football is ... we need to welcome urban back to reality this reality.

amend that, move bama down to 3rd behind SC and GA, the two other conference teams looking to knock off UF... I agree with above posts

Amen to that. USC should have beaten them this past year. We'll get em next year though with 4X the talent.

If Florida played that game with this year's Pro Bowl team and UT played with a total of 8 players, three of whom were blind, you sir would see UT winning.

What is so unreasonable about thinking Florida might have some growing pains next year with new players virtually everywhere?

Nothing. But a guy with a "Gator Hater" avatar is pretty much signaling that he always sees UT winning that game. I know guys like that. I used to be a guy like that. Any glimmer of hope, any argument, no matter how slight, in favor of the Gators pretty much had me convinced that we were maybe a field goal kicker away from the Super Bowl.
