if the league goes back and gives vandy the win or calls the game a tie in the record books. Tennessee deserved to win the game because he was never down and he scored. Not even close. Punish the ref for inadvertent whistle and/or change the rule. But, Gordon wasn't down and scored. Clean play with no questions. The mistake wasn't the "review", that got it right. the mistake was the intial ruling. If that can't be challenged, whether whistle or not, that's criminal.

Will not and cannot happen. We never got the ball in OT. They'd have to make us play our 1 possession

Agreed.

I doubt very seriously the outcome of this game will be changed or another down will be played.

Is it possible for this post to be any dumber? I contend that it is not possible.

I really don't know how they could change the game....UT never got the ball on off with a chance to score because of the int & TD return,so i don't know how they can say vandy won or it was a tie!

What in the world makes you think anything like that would happen?? LOL I mean seriously, you think this game matters to anybody except the two teams that played?

Y'all try to create drama out of nothing. Beats anything I've ever seen.

If they didn't change the outcome of the game earlier in the year where the refs completely whiffed on an extra point attempt, they will not change this outcome.

The league acknowledging a mistake is not equivalent to changing the outcome. The outcome is the outcome.

Our offense never had the ball in O/T so you can't do that...We probably would have score a TD or atleast had a F/G try.

this is in response to what I've seen and read being suggested

Who? No one at Vanderbilt has said that. If you are suggesting the Vandy Athletic Department brought this up, you are lying. Period. Just like your other idiotic thread.

The game cannot be changed. Stop making up lies for attention.

Kinda reminds me of those who say that ESPN is/was scheming against UT. ESPN has lots more to do than worry about one football program in the SE.

Outcome is final. The only thing that might happen is the SEC apologizing to Vandy for the officiating, but that won't change the outcome of the game.

The league acknowledging a mistake is not equivalent to changing the outcome. The outcome is the outcome.

And after the official made the mistake of blowing the whistle, the head of SEC officials (Mr. Shaw) statement should have read.

"We had an official blow a whistle during a play that was an error on his part. The play ended the way it should have, along with the outcome. Going forward we will have our officials err on the side of letting the play finish and rely on replay to overturn a missed call in that situation. That way we have the ability to get the call right in the end. In this case it happened by default."

Kinda reminds me of whiny little punks who hang out on rival message boards trying to stir sh!t....

no, no it's not possible. For it to even be discussed by Vol fans is doing nothing but feeding the clueless bakers dozen of Vandy fans into thinking they have a credible reason to complain.

You know what's more ridiculous than the OP and the ESPN conspiracy theories combined and then squared?

A UGA fan who spends a ridiculous amount of time surfing through a rival team's message board on topics unrelated to UGA football. And is arrogant enough to believe that others care what his opinion is.

Just my :twocents: To each their own I guess.
