This story is extremely sad for the children involved and their families. I feel for them. As for anyone at Penn St. that had any idea that something happened....they (including Paterno) deserve to be treated like criminals. Child rape sympathizing criminals.

People are idiots.

They worship and prop up people they know absolutely nothing about. How many of these revered, respected men are going to have to go down before people start to wake up?

I always figured they'd find him in his office one day. Looks like that won't happen. Old man probably won't last long now. Terrible deal all the way around.

Matt Millen (Penn St player back in late 70's I think?) commented on the whole deal on ESPN today. Lost his composure for a couple seconds. Made some good points that you are innocent until proven guilty, but he knows they're about to get torched.

JoePa is personally responsible for any rapes that occured after he was notified that it was going on!

I gotta feel bad for Millen, I don't blame him for being that way. He played for JoePa for some very good years at Penn State, can't imagine finding out something like that about the guy you played for, for years.

What a sack of crap. He glosses over the fact that there are victims like it's a mere afterthought before he breaks into Penn State chants. I think that shows the true character of this "man" and just re-affirms my belief that he knew what was going on and just didn't care.

YOu could be right about that. What a shame that Paterno, a man of such strong character should be brought down by something like this. I think he believed he did all he needed to do by reporting this up the channel, but Joe allowed Sandusky to continue to have an office on campus. Why? Paterno would have been wise to distance himself from Sandusky, I suspect he regrets that now.

I just read the indictment and I must say it contains some of the most disturbing series of events imaginable. I cannot fathom how this was allowed go on. I can only send my prayers to the victims and their families. Some things in this world just don't make sense.
