Bandwagon Fans

I know older Tennessee fans that are the same way. Doesn't mean they are bandwagon just not so into it to know all 85 players.

Ya but c'mon man. If you know a UT fan that can't at least spit off "Bray, Simms, Hunter, Poole, Rogers" then that's bad.

so you are a bandwagon fan...traded in the Bears for the Colts when they started getting bad and the Colts getting good, liked UT because you grew up in KY and their football is horrible...go away

I am a Bears, VOLS, and Reds fan,,,no ounce of bandwagon in me.

When did I say I grew up in Ky? Grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born in 1978 and lived there til 2001 when I moved to Louisville for seminary. Moved back to Knox in 06 then back to Ky in 10. I am all UT in BOTH sports, anyone who knows me knows that. My office is covered in orange and I haven't rooted for another college team my entire life, especially Ky. Every Ky fan I know is a fan of another college football team. That ain't me. Alot of presumption in your post about me. Again, don't assume.
I clearly stated I jumped on Colts bandwagon in 1995. I was a kid. Colts didn't exactly kill it in the mid 90's. I couldn't care less about another team. Peyton is on the bench and Colts are 0-8. If it's cool with you, I think I'll stick around. Either way, God Bless!

A Peyton fan. There is a big difference. I dont like the NFL all that much so i root for players.

Hope you rooting for the Chiefs now too. EB is a captain as a rookie last year. Doesn't get better than that.

OP is talking more about people who have a new team every couple nof years or are a UT fan in one sport and a U.K., U.F., etc fan in the other. Not sure starting to root for a team and sticking with it 16 years makes one a bandwagon fan in. With that logic, every fan is a bandwagon fan becuase they started rooting for a team at some point for some reason, unless someone came out of the womb in a Vols sweater

When it comes to NFL, I tend to root for former Vols. I grew up a Cowboys fan, but Jerry Jones ruined them for me when he went power mad and forced out Jimmy Johnson. Already had a dislike for him after the way he dissed Landry, but when he started to go all "Al Davis", it took all the joy away from the team. The Braves and the Vols I've followed thru good and bad.

at least you accept that you are a bandwagon fan...way to jump ship

I do admit it. Can you admit you posted incorrect info which you assumed to be true and? When it comes to UT, I am the farthest thing from bandwagon. I changed teams once in my life 16 years ago. Clearly, am a serial bandwagon fan and a bad person. What's with the rudeness? Why is that neccessary?
Any way, you got me, I jumped off the Bears bandwagon in 1995, I hope they are okay. haha. I played(use that term loosely) football for a year in high school with Lovie Smith's son, should I jump back on? I kid, I kid.

no the Bears would never take you back...have fun jumping ship to another team when the Colts string together 2-3 bad years....probably would be off the VOLS by now if you werent born into it and your entire family didnt like them....

What's the problem man? Trying to be nice. My whole family couldn't care less. Never met my dad, my Mom didn;t care, nor did my siblings. Why are you incorrectly assuming things about me? Also, the Colts did string together 2-3 bad years. There's a reason they had the #1 pick in 98. Anyway, hope we can have some kind dialogue on here. I promise you the Bears are better off without me, looks like you agree.:hi:

and I became a UT fan because I loved every thing about it. Played in the backyard listening to John Ward, I studied everything about the history of the program. Got into bball in 87 when a friend of the family whom I idolized, took me to a game. Saw Dyron Nix and I was hooked. My friend was killed in a car wreck and UT bball has always been a reminder of him so I have emotional attachments too, as most do. I was raised by my mom and grandma and UT football was the only thing that really helped me get past my anger as I kid. I loved it too much, actually. I loved reading about Neyland, Naumoff, Dodd, etc. I loved the closeness around the program, the stories, etc I studied all the 100 years of Volunteers stuff in 1990, went to almost every home game when I got my license. It's been a huge part of my life and I have never had another college team.
