Meyer (current national champion)
Donovan (current national champion)

The others you can argue about. But I don't see how you can say that head-coaching wise there is anyone more deserving than the two Florida coaches given that they hold the top prize possible for their respective sports.

The only reason I gave the nod to Spurrier over Meyer, is because Meyer only has 2 years in the league. It's hard to ignore what Spurrier did in the 90's.

Tubby is a pretty good floor coach has had recruiting issues. Donovan is at the Top in the SEC right now.

Donovan I'll give you, but although Meyer deserves respect, he has now accomplished exactly what 3 other coaches in the league have accomplished (Fulmer, Saban, Spurrier,)with a decent argument that a 4th should be added to the list (Tubberville.) Whether it raises or lowers his stock because he did it in his second year is, in my mind, a point of debate.

He hasn't accomplished overall what Fulmer and Spurrier have ..... yet.

football: Spurrier with Phil as a close second b/c of his longevity, winning % and n.c. lets see what happens to the younger coaches if/when they coach for 15 years.
basketball: Donovan, hopefully in 5 years Pearl.

I dont Know

Rick Pitino led the Cats to the '96 national title, followed by an overtime loss to Arizona in the finals in '97. At that point he bolted for a truckload of money to the Boston Celtics, whose roster he filled with ex-UK players in an effort to keep them at the bottom of their division, which it did.

After his unsuccessful NBA tenure, Pitino then gave UK fans one of the biggest raspberries (note the complete lack of profanity on this family friendly forum) in sports history by taking the head coaching job at hated arch-rival Louisville. He coached the Cards to the final four in 2005.
