After hinting at an early October decision date, Flint (Mich.) Powers four-star defensive tackle Danny O'Brien, has now solidified his announcement plans. Instead of postponing, as we often see happen, O'Brien actually moved the date up one day from his original plan, and will have a press conference in his school library next Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2:50 p.m.

Alabama, Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee are technically the four finalists, but the Volunteers look to have survived a late summer push by Michigan and we expect will end up with his commitment.

If we get Hamilton, O'Brien and Autry along with some of the others that are high on our board, I doubt that we will have room for McCullers also. From what I understand, if we were to give McCullers the nod today he would already be a Vol. I also harbor some doubts that we would get both Autry and Hamilton, but that one is not due to any lack on our side of wanting both. Both of them are takes, for sure.

Does anyone know of a time/place for his commitment? I know it's the 6th, but I'm just wondering if anyone has more details. I'm leaving this freezing place known as Michigan on the 7th to leave with a few friends to go to the UT game on the 8th. Neither of 'em has even been to the state of Tennessee, so to see a Michigander commit to a place worth living in on the 6th is just gravy.

Yep.....McCullers, Jacobs, and Autry should be able to contribute right away. If Carson, Williams, and Saulsberry have developed at all we should have good depth.
