This piss poor tackling is nothing new. It's been this way since the mid-90's, but back then we made up for it with talent and disrupting plays in the backfield. Find an old film of the 96 Bama game when Leonard Little knocked the ball out of Freddie Kitchens' hand to seal the game. The only reason they were still in that game and looking to score is because our arm tacklers let them get all the way down the field.
Everything changed for us when Hunter went out. Gameplan immediately became ineffective, the Florida D could concentrate on 1 WR, the team lost a little confidence. Complete game changer.
