Sounds like a smart kid too. Did I hear him right in that interview, he didn't play football until his junior year?

Good size? 205lb te/de?

That is what I am saying. He would be very undersized for either position. IMO, we need to be focused on more position specific players and pass on the hybrid type players who need 2+ years to grow into a position.

I just saw someone said he is 235lbs. IF correct....nevermind what I said above.

IIRC, didn't Constantine Ritzmann not play football until his Jr. year of High School?

IF:

1) He is down to Vandy and Tenn.

2) He really didn't start playing until his Junior year.

Then:

We've got him. If you're that raw, why wouldn't you want to go learn under Lance Thompson, once of the best coaches in the league. And plus, not so sure that Dooley wouldn't try him at somewhere else. If he's that inexperienced, but yet naturally talented, he could work at several places.

I'm not saying I want him, but it sounds like the staff does, so they must see something. We definitely need to stock up on D-Linemen this year, so I'm definitely not opposed to that.

I know his family well !!! OMG... Jordie could be a beast .. He's built like Jason.. little bit taller.. carries a 3.8gpa... sweet kid. OMG.. I'm about to call his mom.

Jason and Jordie played on the same AAU basketball team.

No offense to Jordan or anyone else, but I hope this kid is not a take at Defensive End.

+1. I don't see us just chewing at the bit to take a guy with this little experience. However, if it comes down the line, and the staff continues to see what they want to see, I will be okay with it.

But I would much rather have Autry, Trent Taylor, etc. for a DE class.

Humm, MZTEERY putting in work. Go head Girl, do ya thang!!

lol.. i'm shocked at that one, myself, but HELL YEAH!!

His family is like ours... He has an "I DON"T PLAY MOMMA TOO"...... and you know... it's hard not to know many of these kids here in GA for us because Croomster plays basketball , football and track. I'm liable to be anywhere at any given time. This boy has kept me busy... but the advantage is us bleacher moms get to know each other too.

I feel you Jay, but in defense of JJ and my knowing him and his family.... I know that his mom is dedicated and I doubt if he lacks, but whatever he may need improvement with, she will send him to a trainer , camps and whatever she needs to do. She is JUST like me. I luv this one if UT can land him. I know he was beast in basketball too, and when he started playing football, now he won't touch a bball. :eek:lol: JJ and Jason used to kill'em on the boards.

Even if he didn't go to UT, he seems smart enough to do well at Vandy.
