I'm sorry about that. That really sucks you weren't close to him. My grandfather was great.... he had been struggling with Alzheimer's for about 2 years and had steadily got worse over the past month. It's actually gives me a little relief because I know he isn't suffering anymore, but it still doesn't make it any easier....

Sorry to hear..my grandma had it for the last four or five years of her life and because she rotated living with her children those years I got to see first hand the stages when sue was with us...scary, upsetting, just doesn't explain it enough.

Thanks windy, I appreciate it. There's nothing in the world more painful than have your grandparents/parents not recognize or know who you are anymore. My grandmother is actually suffering pretty badly from it right now too..... she probably won't be around much longer either -- someone has to be with her 24/7. I can't imagine the pain and confusion that they're feeling in their mind....
