I thought Bullard would only count against the 85, but PRABJ was posting that he had to be included in a class. I dont know if that is a new rule or not.
My understanding is that a transfer counts against the incoming class if he is on scholarship. That's probably why Bullard is not on scholly this year.
Malik Jackson was an exception to this rule due to the USC penalty situation.
Somebody like LWSVOL would know the answer for sure.
No. A transfer can count against signing class totals in certain circumstances, including when the player does not sit out a year as normally required for transfers. That's why Malik counted toward the '10 totals. So it is possible that Bullard actually does count against this class for the same reason, even though it was a hardship case. I'll have to check and see.
We have 16 commits ATP, add in Tino Thomas who has to count against this class since he is grayshirted then that leaves us w/ 7 spots. I feel confident in landing Patterson & Jelks (as long as the staff takes him) ATP & we lead for Autry.

I've been told we will sign at least 25 or 26 in this class (not including Thomas). At least one of the current commits has agreed to greyshirt. We'll close with another WR, LB, 2 OL, 5 DE/DT, and 1 best available. The staff does not plan on turning away any current commits. If it happens, it will be a mutual parting of ways, and there is only one current commit where this could come into play.

Assuming Bullard doesn't count, Croom's addition means now we are at 8 spots left. I'd like to see 2 more DTs and 2 more DEs. An OL would be nice, but I'm not sold on Jelks. If the coaches think he's a take, then I'll go with it. They know more than me. Other than that, I think best available.
