By your definition of punk, there are several punks suiting up for UT this fall.

Just imagine if the majority of Kiffin's recruits weren't kicked off the team, arrested, or washed out. The punk ratio would be WAY higher then.

As for that post about the job - I'm not buying that Dooley would let something shady go down in this area. Not for a second.

He implied that anyone who does the "hats on the table" or "stalls" when announcing his school choice is a punk. There are several players on this year's team that have done exactly that, including Dooley recruits.

Same guy said this:

Heres to Tennessee being the next school investigated by the NCAA

Obviously an extremely butthurt fan who really doesn't have a clue. Also, many are really wanting to join the SEC right about now.

Got some details on the Santos/Humphries commitments. Going into last weekend, the coaches were cautiously optimistic about Humphries. Over the weekend, something changed. Humphries began having limited contact with the staff. On Monday, the coaches believed that Humphries was committing to Florida. By Wednesday, they were certain Humphries was committing to Florida. The staff obviously wanted Humphries and was disappointed they missed out on him.

On Thursday, however, the staff was in a VERY good mood about recruiting. Not knowing what would be the reason for this, I believed this was somehow related to Humphries. It was not. Santos indicated to the staff earlier in the week that he might be committing Friday. The staff has had Santos at or near the top of its recruiting board for months now. He's exactly what the staff wants for a MLB. Prior to Thursday, however, the staff believed that distance was going to be too much for UT to overcome. Turns out, Santos contacted the staff on Thursday and informed them that "distance was not a factor in his decision" and that he would contact the staff Friday morning to let them know his decision. We all know how things played out from there. As hard as this is to believe, the staff is more excited about getting Santos than losing Humphries.

Connects the dots we were seeing nicely. Thanks. Also, good to know that we got our # 1 target for 2012.

IMO...it's not that hard to believe...

A stud at a position we are set at or a stud at a position we desperately need to increase our talent and depth at?

Doesn't surprise me at all to hear tehy are more excited about Santos

Thanks for the info OCI.

Definitely glad we picked up our top MLB. Does the staff think there's any chance they can sway Humphries back our way (even in a couple months) or has that ship sailed for good?

Glad to provide the info. Barring something unforeseen, Humphries is very solid to UF.
