Its really gonna be funny if Humphries is a Vol. I know right now things arent looking too good regarding Humphries committing to Tennessee friday, but something tells me we land him. I've said he's a Vol for the past couple of weeks, and im sticking with it.

This one has the same feeling as Arnett, I didnt expect to pull him last year and it really got things rolling. Hope this happens again.

I think HG mentioned it..............but the Gator beat website writers are going to the announcement. Are any Vol writers going for your websites?

IDK, but the one thing I kept coming back to throughout this process with DJ was this, how could all you gators be THIS confident with the little info we all had to go on? This confident AND refuse to show any actual evidence, or quotes, or give any real reasoning as to why you feel so strongly.

It's been my experience that this scenario usually involves some "secret weapon", so to speak, some trump card that they know the opponent cant match, no matter what. IMO, Mo Collins is that trump card, and for you gators to be this confident in him pulling DJ, you HAVE to be a little giddy inside at the future prospects in his area. He's an extra recruiter for UF, plain and simple. I Wish we had some.

I really don't know that a whole lot has changed since Skeeter's last big reveal. So our coaches are being quiet...given how close to the vest Dooley likes to play things anyway, I don't think this can be taken as evidence of anything, one way or another. What we are left with is essentially noise coming from UF recruiting mods. Noise that isn't even based on contact with DJ, from my understanding. I seem to remember one of our esteemed UF posters (can't recall if it was HG or Waco) claiming after Skeeter's info, "let the mind games begin!", or some such. I wonder if our fanbase isn't just succumbing to a huge Jedi mind trick. :twocents:

There's insiders on the Gators board, some people assume it's mo, saying all Gator. The Gator mods have spoke to DJ and say nothing has changed and there's "nothing to worry about", they're attending his announcement, they have followup interviews with his family scheduled afterwards. Seems like the writing is on the wall...

Doesnt Humphries have a visit scheduled for us this weekend...After the announcement? I thought I read that somewhere...But that doesnt mean anything b/c he could cancel just like he cancelled his FNL visit...

Waco or HG, can you confirm that UF mods have spoken directly to DJ? Last I heard was that DJ had shut down communication with the recruiting services. Since this is just your second post Dellenn, I hope you don't mind my skepticism. :)

He said that Humphries "all but committed" to the coaching staff that if he canceled his FNL visit he would be a VOL, and he said he had a visit set up the day after his announcement to UT. Call me skeptical.

According to the Gators insider, Bryan Huff ( I think is his name) stated he had spoken to DJ, Keith N from Rivals, Mark Wheeler, amongst others have all claimed to speak with him directly

Bottom line: DJ seems to be guarding his intentions pretty well, I doubt we hear anything major either way until 7pm on Friday.

I hope he chooses UT, but if he doesn't, I am not going to lose in second of sleep over him. Our OL looks very solid heading into the future.

Thanks, I actually live here in Knoxville, and my wife works at UT, and I've been on gvx247, govolsxtra, and rivals. I've browsed these forums for awhile, and had registered awhile ago, but I wasn't allowed to post. Got an email today saying it was approved, and decided to post. Just stating what news i've heard and seen. 2 weeks ago, my wife was saying all Vol, now she said coaches have been close lipped, and she feels they've conceded he's a Gator. Too much working
against them....

Yep, I don't think there's any doubt at this point where he's headed. Over a year's worth hard work comes to nothing as Collins got there first. Good luck to the kid.
