Regardless of how many times DJ has been to Knoxville that hasn't stopped him from consistently listing UF as his leader. I hope I'm wrong but I just see no reason to believe he is going anywhere other then Gainesville. There is just nothing solid (only skeeter) that supports him picking UT. Right up until he went silent he only had one official visit set and it was to Florida for the Alabama game. He didn't go to FNL for the same reason he didn't go to many if any camps this summer. He knew where he was going and didn't see the need to see UF again right now. Some kids love to travel and see it all but DJ just isn't like that. Come Friday night I expect skeeter to simply say "I don't know what happened something must have changed because he told the coaching staff he was coming". How many times have we heard this over the last few years but out of hope and maybe desperation we keep falling for it. I think our coaching staff worked hard on DJ and really can't be blamed. We were obviously making up ground fast as I'm guessing UF and MO put the screws to him to go ahead and commit because he had no previous plans to commit this early. As late as June and maybe even early JULY he said he wanted to get his list down to 5 by the end of summer and then suddenly he's down to 2and ready to announce. Nothing about that say's UT. Ok I've convinced myself now I can be at peace. I would like nothing more then to be completely wrong come Friday night. GO VOLS!!

I agree he is yalls to lose. There is no smoke and mirrors. He is a uf commit in my eyes. Congrats. Better not come on here rubbing it in everyones face though. Be classy about it.

Wouldn't he be reaching out to UT commits?

Just seems a bit far-fetched to me to think it's some elaborate plan of smoke and mirrors.

But then again, I argued with a girl in 5th grade that wrestling was real, so what do i know.

Not sure it matters. Buddy of mine does something similar and he advertises so parents will idiotically believe he can then their kids into scholarship ballplayers. They walk in his door and he pushes hard to his alma mater.
