Ultimately it boils down to the motivation. If the terror was committed in the name of the religion (e.g. most Islamic terrorism) then it is religious terrorism.

If a terrorist happens to belong to a religion but is not committing the act in the name of that religion it is not religious terrorism.

If this bastage did his horrible deed in the name of Christianity then it indeed was religious terrorism. If it was because he was a right winger then it was political terrorism.

While you're getting ready to post your defense of the "religion of peace" could you please also show us some clips of Christians celebrating this bombing or (the libs other favorite) the OKC bombing by dancing in the streets and singing and praising the bombers as heroes like muslims around the world did after 911? Could you also show us clips of Christian leaders praising this or the OKC bombing like muslim leaders did after 911 or like they did after the Mumbai attacks or the London attacks or any of the other host of attacks from those peace loving islamists?
I'd really like to see it.

It's largely tied to immigration. The ruling labor party has a more inclusive, open immigration policy. There are a fair number of Islamic immigrants in Norway. I'm not sure whether it starts with anti-immigration or anti-Islam, or just the two building on each other, but there exists that tension.

The FrP is apparently the second largest party in Norway, so it's not exactly a fringe group...so I could be off on my association here. But, something didn't strike me as quite right about some of their rhetoric..

If you want to change th subject, then feel free to include the mass socioeconomic differences between the modern Christian world and the Arab world. Allow political exploitation and educatio (indoctrination) into the debate. Allow subSaharan Africa into the discussion.

If you do not want to change the subject then understand that celebrations do not kill people. Bombing an abortion clinic is an act of Christian terrorism; as it stands, it appears this atrocity in Norway is an act of Christian anti-Muslim terrorism. Many of the atrocities in subSaharan Africa are the result of Christian terrorism.

And yes you are correct, celebrations don't kill people. But when tens of thousands of Muslims dance and celebrate in the streets of numerous muslim countries when a fellow member of their "religion of peace" kills innocent people via a cowardly act of terrorism and when leaders of the "religion of peace" not only encourage such attacks publicly but then call those who carry out such attacks heroes it shows us where they are. Well it shows those of of us who don't seem to LIVE to find excuses for muslims while finding any fault with true religions of peace.

It will be interesting to see what the result is. A good number of my Norwegian friends on facebook have been joining Jens Stoltenberg's facebook page and "liking" the labor party.

Taoists and Jainists try to convert other religions? You so funny. The big three or four try to convert, the others just live their own way. I'm not arguing in favor of Islam at all, I'm just saying that spreading propaganda in unwanted territory is stupid.

Spreading ones beliefs is what is done by most religions and even political, environmental or other groups do the same.
Where the muslim faith differs is violence. Their leaders encourage and praise it and the multitudes of the religion celebrate it. And it's not even up for debate.
