Seems like they are just trying to bring the best ones to keep from their rivals.

No, its because the goal is always to get the best talent. It always about making your team better and deeper.

Keeping the talent away from your conference foes it just icing on the cake.

6 of their LBers are seniors and Hightower with another solid year could turn pro leaving the LB position thin.

The poster before you is exactly right, and it's the very reason that DI schools have scholarship signing limits.

Hoarding players creates a huge competitive advantage. And part of his tactic is to take the kids that rival schools want so that not only does he get the talent, but he's not facing it. He has mentioned that before in interviews.

Oh well I guess every coach should avoid taking as much talent and making them compete against each other to get the best on the field. Very bad strategy.:)

BTW Harbin on that list is already left football to play baseball at UA.

Regarding playing time every year since CNS has been at UA a freshman LB has broke the starting lineup. So it is up to the player and CNS tells them that. He will always put the best on the field.

McClain, Hightower, Johnson, and Mosley.

8 hours and 12 minutes folks, 8 hours and 12 minutes.

The kid was saying where he wants to go in mapquest talk, but no one wanted to believe!

Must be a nice problem to have. Roll Tide.

That's what makes it even worse. If our coaches can not sell these kids on getting playing time in the SEC at Tennessee over sitting the bench at Bama(fighting it out with 10 other top backers) we are in trouble.

Between seniors and players likely to enter the NFL Bama is likely to lose 7 LB's this year....plus they have always shown a willingness to play freshmen at LB...so they are selling early PT as well...

You're "sitting the bench" and "fighting it out with 10 other top backers" comment is completely unsubstatiated

Surely Pace doesn't throw stuff out there that is substantiated..... never.

He'll end up at A&M. He originally said he didn't care about distance from home. Then that shrunk. Now I don't see him being a priority for Bama. TW already said they aren't pursuing him as hard as other targets.

Is this upcoming camp his first visit to UT? If so, and Bama doesn't push for a commit, I like our chances. Unless of course distance ends up being a big factor.
