Especially fried mayonnaise, right, pard? Hell, sometimes I'll even throw a stick of butter or two in the deep fryer. If you've never had that, you're missin' somethin' out of your life.

Never had either of those, but being raised in the South, I was 21 before I found out that everyone doesn't cook green beans in grease. Or, fry lettuce in grease.

We used to do the green beans, but I've never had the deep fat fried lettuce, pard. I think I might have to give that a whirl.

well, u see what happened was i had fixed my bacon and was washing dishes and went to pour my flour in and poured too much, so instead of scooping some out, i decided to try to use olive oil, only "grease" i had, to make more

I did that with cornbread one time. No cooking oil so I added the good olive oil. Turned out OK in that situation.
