The sarcasm is lost on me.

Either way, I'd say as a whole, Palin's followers are more aggressive in rhetoric and activity than any group I've seen in my life. I'm not saying there aren't those types of followers of other politicians.

No, I'm actually three years old.

Really, all you need to look at is her people's overwhelming support of military action in the middle east to understand where their minds are. You could also look at the activities of those who, along with her, disagreed with healthcare reform and attacked a congressman's brother's house, sent another one white powder in the mail, or rallied followers to throw bricks through the offices of local dems.

Not at all. I have heard the explanations and admissions that she was technically right. Maybe she stumbled into being right. Maybe she was aware. Whatever.

The thing I am answering is this non-sense that she is somehow stupid and that this is proof. She isn't. Al Gore once could not identify a bust as Thomas Jefferson... on a tour of Monticello. Obama said there were 57 states or something like that. No one on the left or right came out declaring them stupid because they screwed something up.

Conservatives however get beat up for this type of non-sense all the time by the left... and unfortunately the right tries too hard to agree with the left on stuff like this.



Imperfection is not allowed, and everything is viewed as "Here are the two sides of the debate, who is the winner?!" The way politics and politicians are analyzed in this country is stupid, counterproductive and well beyond retarded.

Agree and disagree. Conservatives are far more scrutinized for things like this than liberals. It is stupid and counterproductive though.

Really? Did you watch any of the Wisconsin teacher's union coverage? You are aware of the intimidation tactics employed (recently) by union thugs, right? Have you ever heard of tree spiking by environmental terrorists?

For that matter... how do you feel about civil rights "leaders" who spew hate and contempt for white people (blaming whites for all their problems) when a white person is 80 times more likely to be the victim of a crime committed by a black person than vice versa?

What "activity" are you talking about? Having 100K+ rallies in parks that are left cleaner than they were found? Voting in large numbers? Speaking out against things they oppose?

No. Not really and I am not talking exclusively about pundits. I am talking more about what passes for straight news.

The same press corps including Fox News reported ad nauseum on Bush's supposed NG issues but has largely ignored questions concerning Obama's law credentials in Illinois and his academic record. Somehow a Bush DUI from his 20's was relevant but Obama's close association with radicals is not. Bush potentially being too influenced by the "Religious Right" whose "crime" seems to be advocating for morality and good citizenship but Obama's association with the hateful doctrines of Black Liberation theology were downplayed by the MSM except for Fox.

The MSM sent how many people to comb through Palin's emails in hopes of digging up some dirt. How many did they send to investigate the relationship between Obama and ACORN?

Everyone is biased by their worldview. The more concentrated that bias is the more danger there is of group think and closed-mindedness. Most of the MSM and especially the DC press corps are liberal/progressive. They came from liberal colleges and were taught by liberal professors. They were mentored by other liberal reporters and guided by liberal editors.

It is natural for them to find negative news about someone like Palin "newsworthy". They have deeply engrained contempt for conservative ideals and conservative people. It is also natural for them to be more forgiving of those who they agree with.

The real bias in news is not how topics are reported. You can detect some but generally that would sway no one. The real bias is in what news is chosen for reporting. They can claim complete objectivity in the way they report on news that hurts conservatives. They can do the same for news that hurts liberals. The trick is to report 10 times as often stories that hurt the conservative.
