Cheap meat

The zone's equivalent to how you like your steak. When you are or have been broke. What was the cheap meat you bought.

Chicken thighs for me. I know it isn't spam or potted meat but I'd rather be a vegan than eat that.

I once bought some knight brand chicken nuggets that were brown inside. Definately no white meat on them.

lol I still do, and those chicken spreads that come in a white wrapper. I either put it on crackers or whitebread.

I cant recall the name, but hormel put out a loaf of processed meat in a can. We had no gas for the stove, so we would set it on the sidewalk on aluminum foil to cook outside.

It avg'd 100 degrees that summer in La.

Store brand hotdogs. I'm not sure what they were made from, but poor people don't care.

Chicken leg quarters, assorted cut pork chops, peanut butter (not meat, but protein). At one time eggs were cheap. That's not the case anymore.

I used to eat a lot of hamburger helper with 1/2 portions of hamburger.
