The guy was a great shot in the arm to the program. He enabled a renewed level of support for the program, and the administration owes it to the fans not to squander the good he provided by screwing up the next hire by slipping into protectionist mode. It's time to lead courageously in the AD's and president's/chancellor's offices.

sad day. i was still pullin' for bruce to come back. oh well. hopefully we can get a good hire in here, manage to keep ware and jones, and talk scotty and tobias to come back next year or it could really become even more of a train wreck.

I hope CBP lands on his feet and finds a new job.

I guess its back to the days of spending January, February, and March waiting for spring football.

JimmyHyams‎ UT has informed Bruce Pearl that he will be fired. Buyout was hangup over the weekend. Chancellor Jimmy Cheek made the call, I'm told.
