It's been too long without a UT basketball game. I'm pumped for tonight. Hopefully it will be a curb stomping and give other guys confidence without Hopson.

Le'goo Vols!

I think that this will be a good game for this team. It's going to be interesting without hopson, someone is going to have to step up.

Eventhough the roster is a little depleted due to injury, the Vols should still have a solid 10-15 point win tonight....Also this would be huge for Tony Jones career if he can go 6-2 without Bruce...

It has been too many days since a game. At least all the football recruits kept us busy. What is the roster going to look like tonight? I know Hopson is out, Harris' ankle may not be 100%, I've heard rumors Tatum is sick, and then McRae is suspended.

I know Tatum and Harris will play anyway but if they aren't 100% and can't play as many minutes what will the rotation look like?

Goins/Golden
Bone/McBee
Tatum/Woolridge?
Harris/Hall or Maymon?
Williams/Fields

Just process of elimination leads to me to that. Don't think I left anyone out. If Tatum isn't feeling very well, it will be interesting to see Swiperboy log some minutes. I hope he steps up big if called upon.

Let's not forget this Auburn team hung with Florida, beat Florida State and is coming off a road victory at South Carolina. I'm not as confident with our best player at home (16 points per game) and our next best player with a tweaked ankle. I will be very curious how our team plays tonight.

GBO!

Anybody in driving distance I hope you'll come down for this! Auburn's new arena is a really nice place to take in an easy victory :)

Go Vols!

As much as I would love to see it change, you left out Baby Pearl. Unfortunately, you know he will get his 10 minutes. So it will be:

Goins/Golden
Bone/McBee
Tatum/Woolridge?
Harris/Pearl/Maymon
Williams/Fields/Hall

I also would not be surprised to see Goins and Golden on the court at the same time. We saw that look a couple of times this season and depending on how many minutes Tatum plays tonight, I could definitely see that happening.

Anyone going to the Big Orange Caravan in Chattanooga tonight? They're showing the game at the Regal Cinemas at Hamilton Place (heretoafter referred to as "the $2.50 theater") and having Eric Westmoreland as the guest speaker during halftime. Free admission, doors open at 8:30. Here's the link if you want to register:

Most people realize that nothing has changed except Bruce is not there during the actual game....It's still Pearl's game plan, Pearl's players, and Pearl's assistant coaches doing the same thing that they always have done. If the thought is that this has anything to do with Tony Jones doing anything that he was not already doing...that's simply not the case. Don't really see that this does anything for Tony's career; but that's just my thoughts. Yes, I like Tony Jones too!

This is going to be a tough game for UT tonight, I wish they would have played Aubie to open SEC play. Hopson is hurt, Tatum is sick, and Harris has an ankle issue. On top of that it's on the road and weak eagle, thought they were the tigers, has been improving quite a bit in their last few contests. Go Vols!

Guys this isn't going to be an EASY WIN. Auburn's defense is very good. They played extremely solid D against UF and will definitely cause us problems in the half court. On the other hand, their offense is miserable, but if they hit some outside shots they will be in the game. They are going to try to play a tempo similiar to UNC-Charlotte and run at least 25-30 second of the shot clock before each shot. We are going to have to hit outside shots to win the game, because they shutdown the middle of the floor and post.

Wow, I am really surprised they didn't reduce the spread by more than 1 point with Scotty out (-9 yesterday). It should be -5 or -6, especially with a gimpy T. Harris.

I see people are already pumping up Auburn in preparation for a loss. People need to relax. And yes, Auburn is a garbage team and this is the easiest matchup we have in the SEC this year.
