There is probably a reason Rivals hasn't rated him, and it is because he is a MAC player at best.
I found this interesting about Harrow. According to Espn these are all the UT commits ranked lower than Harrow (78)
Jordan Williams (77)
Trevarris Saulsberry (77)
Tom Smith (76)
Tino Thomas (75)
Allan Carson (74)
Devrin Young (74)
You have five other players rated as 78s.
But please continue bashing the kid.
Hey TW, somebody told me today that UA plans on switching D Hart to defense?? That's completely false right?
Actually, it is because he was supposed to be a JUCO and shocked everyone when he actually qualified. Rivals and Scout don't waste resources scouting and rating guys that aren't going to qualify, they have a hard enough time just trying to keep up with the ones that they know will.![]()
In fairness, ESPN probably didn't rate him that way because of a true evaluation, they likely just went over tapes of IC and Gabe and picked Harrow out to see him and watched essentially the same tapes we did. Possibly his tapes from the Scout combine last spring. The only people who have really evaluated him are the coaches from UGA and UA and possibly a couple of other schools. UGA liked him enough to offer and we know they don't just give offers to secure a commit unless they think the guy can help somehow. If we did, we would have Rogers and his noodle-armed, fairy boyfriend in Red & Black.
We will see how good a player Harrow turns out to be, but honestly if it lands us Crowell, it is worth both schollys. IC is a more talented back than either of our teams have on the roster right now.
I was told by a Rivals mod that Harrow will be a three star once hes rated.
ehh it doesn't matter, it's obvious he was taken for the sole purpose of landing IC, which is fine. I think we can all agree we would want our team to do the same thing. and we can all agree that at some point in time all of our schools HAVE done the same thing or something similar.
IMO Harrow will sign a LOI and be a sign and place. And if Crowell goes elsewhere Harrow will never play a down at UGA.
If UGA coaches were not worried they would not have offered Harrow. Go drink the dawg koolaid all you want but only UGA fans believe that Harrow is legit, hence why the only team to ever offer was UGA. And please do not give me that test grades were a concern before. Heck UA has 1 player right now that is a concern we think will be a sign and place. Teams all the time sign players that leter do not qualify. Remember a recruit can sign a NLI without being qualified first in case you did not know.
UGA is desperate right now in recruiting this cycle. Offer package deals to get players and HS coaches a job to get a player. But if it works in the end so be it, but it will not change that UGA over the past years always recruits top classes but yet fail to produce.
Relax guy. Are you sure that UGA does this every year?
Last year we gave a scholly to Zander, Alec Ogletree's brother, and many people thought we were just doing it to secure Alec. Guess what, Zander played as a true freshman on special teams and FB, and is now lined up as one of the front runners for the FB job this fall. I still say that we practically stole that kid. And guess what, Zander didn't have any D-1 offers either.
Why didn't we give Nance a scholly to secure Da'Rick? Our coaching staff did not believe Nance is D-1 material and we were not willing to give up a scholly just to get Da'Rick, and remember that Da'Rick was our headline recruit.
If the staff believes Harrow is worthy of D-1 scholly, then I will believe them. The fact that it helps with Crowell is a plus. We have gone on the record that the offer still stands even if Crowell decides to go to the Elephants. We offered Harrow after he received his test scores. Bama had him on an OV and would have offered but they already have a suplus of 10 players.
Get your facts straight instead of just letting your bias blind you which only leads to misinformed comments.
I am not fan of UGA but i do not think they are that desperate, they have a great class coming in. Package deals happen all the time, there is no shame in it. Nance to get Da'rick and i am sure that UA had Cyrus in mind when they got Arie.
As I said earlier, you're so misinformed when it comes to UGA that its just sad. Do your homework before you start throwing stones at UGA.A fact Harrow has no other offers. Again I do not care that Harrow got the offer to help with Crowell but most UGA fans believe it had nothing to do with it. Again only UGA offered. Now in my opinion if Crowell had already commited UGA would not have offered Harrow, that is my opinion, but I know you will porbably like most UGA fans tell me he would have. I guess CMR is a master at finding these players that noone else sees.
I also know that according to CMR himself being quoted that he will not oversign players, and right now according to the numbers that I have seen UGA is at 23 and have 3 more spots left. So I guess between Jenkins, Crowell, Turene, and Pagan, Harrow is better than any of those 3. Because based on CMR he will only sign 3 more in this class. All 4 and maybe Richardson who I think is a Vol, but that would make 5 that alot of UGA fans on their boards feel good about that only 3 come in.
So my question to you is Harrow better than any of those 5?
Again I understand doing what you have to to get the best instate players to stay home, but this year his attempts appear to everyone outside of UGA as desperation to save his job. Again that is my opinion.
As I said earlier, you're so misinformed when it comes to UGA that its just sad. Do your homework before you start throwing stones at UGA.
It may seem that UGA is running out of spots but UGA has the ability to sign a full class if the right guys want to come. Last year UGA gave a few of our walk-ons a 1 year scholly with no guarantee of a renewal. Those schollys came open after a couple of our dumbazz players got kicked off the team. Rather than letting those scholly's go to waste, Richt put them up for competition amongst the walk-ons with the STRICT UNDERSTANDING that those offers might not be available for the following year. There you go, now you see how UGA "oversigns."
If you want to start an interesting convo, why not name the 10-12 guys that will be cut to make room for the new guys. That would be a much more interesting convo.
