If you've never stayed there before do not factor in your over-all cost based on your room price. There is a Resort fee, parking fee, ect that will take whatever your room rate is and double it by the end. It's a really nice place but just be prepared. I live 15 minutes from the stadium so I won't be staying there ... only stay there when my wife and I want away from the kids for the night and I want to be able to watch a concert while drinking and stumble to my room.

I'm staying at the Ramada Stadium Inn... I heard it was a dump, but the only place that was left within walking distance of the stadium and Bridgestone Arena for the Zach Brown concert

O H is a long way from downtown. Most of the partying will take place on Lower Broadway and the 2nd Avenue areas. Stay Downtown if possible.

I, too, live nearby (30 min. out) but have been downtown other years. I wouldn't want to drive to O H after partying.

GO VOLS!!

Anybody who wants to head to Pope's Place just down the road from Gaylord, set a day and a time and we'll bs about UT over an adult beverage or two.....

:twocents: Better bring your own sheets, that place is skank city. Hope your not bringing wife and kids,my wife would assault me if I checked her into that flop house. But it is right by the stadium,if your young its probably not much worse then some of the hotels in Panama city that rent to kids, except inner city instead of beachfront, lol!!! May have to chase the working girls away from your door a few times,jk!! enjoy!

I live half an hour from the stadium, so I'm looking forward to a "home" game.

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Express near the airport. I've stayed there while in town on business before and its not bad for a one nighter. I also get a great rate through my company.

Cancel now!

Seriously though like one previous poster said, bring your own sheets.

I'm staying at the Marriott at West End. It caught my eye during the Vandy game.

Hoo-ray rewards points.

Staying at Downtown Sheraton. Booked way in advance so got a slightly better rate. Also, if you're staying at Opryland I understand a lot of the businesses, particularly the mall, are still closed due to flooding. Opryland is nice, but it will break you if you eat and drink there, i.e. $7 a beer.

Think we're just gonna drive back after the game. That link above makes me not want to stay anywhere other than my own bed. Even nice hotels have been known to have bed bugs. GROSS!!!

We stopped outside Cleveland on our way to Michigan this summer, saw a few months afterwards that the place was on the bed bug list. Thankfully we weren't infested. But I've decided that from now on we'll either stop and camp for the night, doze in the car at a rest area, or drive on through til we get to our destination.

I'm in college at UT... I'm sure I have seen much worse. I pretty much knew it was going to be bad going into it, just thought it would be worth it since there would be no worry about getting rides or driving anywhere since everything is in walking distance.

Staying with the parentals on this trip. Its difficult for my wife and I to fit in the bed in my old room, but its a hella lot better than that Ramada inn
