Behr, any suggestions for some lamb (double) rib chops? Picked some up today because they looked incredible. I figured I would season and grill but I'm definitely open to something new.

Like you, I like them grilled, and a little mint jelly compliment.

On occasion, I like braised lamb chops, they are only second to Braised Osso Bucco. I'm simple with it though, a little garlic, basil, tomato and lots of red wine. A little fresh fennel to finish.

If you're comfortable with making risotto, shiitake mushroom is mt favorite with it. Mashed roasted garlic potatoes would be my next chioce. I forget the brand that Publix carries, but they have a really good wild mushroom couscous that would suffice. I like the couscous with Duck.

Sorry to hear about sis. If she can get a couple of bites in her it might maker feel better, but what do I know... What did pop's say?

She's asleep now, he hasn't eaten any yet. He said he can't eat right not because of her accident.

Sounds good.

Tried something different tonight. Had a cheap frozen pizza and topped it with some onions and left over blue cheese crumbles (was out of mozz). The blue cheese worked surprisingly well.

should recommend the National brand and stay away from the Private Label, of course I'm biased

That sounds good to me. It's crazy what blue cheese works with. Not really unusual, but one of my favorite apps I like to make at home for friends....Portabello drizzled with olive oil, sea salt, cracked black pepper. Put it on the grill (on a cool spot) and grill it til it's nice and tender. Slice a red pepper in half and roast both halves on the grill while cooking the mushroom, a little olive oil on the pepper. After the mushroom is done and the pepper skin is almost black, pull them. Pull the skin off the pepper and slice them in thin slivers and put several on the mushroom.

Slice a nice tomato and put the biggest slice on the mushroom. Cover it all with bleu cheese crumbles and stick it in a 400 degree oven until the cheese is melted and browning. If you have time to keep an eye on it and "know" your grill, you can use it instead of the oven, but you know how that can go. Haha.

Finish it with a fresh Basil leaf. Take a small bite of the leaf with the mushroom every other bite. Good stuff.

It wasn't that Kat, the smell made him sick to his stomach. The only reason he hates her getting sick is because he has to take her to the doctor
