That's awful. The staff shouldn't have let him go up there when it was so windy.

The latest...

Ellie Hall: Declan Sullivan, Notre Dame Student Killed In Video Tower Collapse, Tweeted Before His Fall

sent messages to Twitter from the top of the camera tower where he was recording a football practice less than an hour before he fell to his death Wednesday.

In the first message, timestamped 3:22 p.m., Sullivan wrote, "Gust of wind up to 60mph well today will be fun at work... I guess I've lived long enough :-/."

The second message, which was sent at 4:06 p.m., less than an hour before his tragic fall at 4:50 p.m., reads, "Holy **** holy **** this is terrifying."

RIP, but man what where you thinking?

Pretty irresponsible fromt the coaches, and rest of the football staff to leave him up there.

The lead story on the news yesterday morning in California was about the wild weather in the midwest.

This is going to be the angle I am very anxious to see. A coach is going to get hung out to dry when this becomes a legal battle. And if it were my kid, I would want someone held responsible. Why do you think Brian Kelly wasn't at the presser today? Because they wouldn't want to face the questions about why he was kept up there, this fast.

EDIT: Also, in order to operate one of these you have to have gone through a sort of training, and the school would have to be the body to administer the training before allowing you to use it. I would hope they did, because if they didn't that makes this an even harder battle in court.

Yeah... ND is about to be on the hook for a loooooooot of money.

Absolutely. The AD and Brian Kelly's comments seemed so... hollow. And if the report that they kept practicing after the accident is true then WTF was Kelly thinking?

Whoever sent that kid up there is in a world of trouble.
