If you can't afford $30, invite over a few friends and get $5 each. Pretty simple.

Personally, I'd pay $100 if I had to. Zero chance I don't watch the first game. Also, at home on the couch with a 12 pack in the fridge > a sports bar, imo

Save your money, take a trip back in time and listen to the game. I'll be all ears more than likely.

The following Saturday I'll be all eyes from QQ.

I'm sure you guys have a few bars in your area that carry all UT games (even PPV)...That's what I do, unless of course, I go to the games.

If your internet service provider doesn't provide access to ESPN3.com (most do these days), then try channelsurfing.net , I'll warn you though. That site is not exactly "legit".

I've been pretty pissed at how crappy the stream quality is on ESPN3 for other sports. I plan on picking up gameplan so I can watch it on 50 inches instead of 13.

If you live in the Knoxville area, maybe even all of East TN, it will be blacked out, and ESPN3.com does adhere to blackouts, so it will not be available anywhere online legally if you're local.

If you're not local, then ESPN3.com, justin.tv or countless others.

But try channelsurfing.net, justin.tv (don't bother with the search feature) or atdhe.net. Actually, if you're local, why aren't you at the game? I'm flying in from Boston.

IMO the stream quality on espn3 is just as good and will probably be better than the ppv. Hook your comp to your tv and see what the difference is

very good question

Unfortunately, network guys or somebody run around these places enforcing the blackouts, so be prepared to have to change channels every 10 minutes or so as the one you're on is shut down, and by the end of the first quarter, there won't be any stations left.

Just bought a pc to tv converter box for $50 to plug the laptop into the tv. Much cheaper than the game plan.

I've watched a ton of sports on ESPN3.com this summer: ~20 world cup games, ~5 FIBA basketball games and have been fairly disappointed

The quality is not nearly as good as the old espn360 was and it constantly freezes up, lags terribly, and becomes a complete blur in higher demand games. And this is all on my superfast work internet, not my comcast at home.

I'm not defending the overall picture quality of Gameplan, but it is in fact VERY consistent and never freezes for 30 seconds, so I at least go for that.

Only on the important games. It's impossible to keep a consistent NFL stream, and the ABC game of the week can be tough, but I've never lost something from ESPNU. I'd imagine UT/UTM shouldn't be a problem.

Agreed. ESPN3 is not up to the level that ESPN360 was, at least from my World Cup experience. However, I do know people who were able to watch ESPN3 on fairly crap internet connections and get about the same experience as I did. So it should be a safe option, even if the picture quality leaves something to be desired.

if enough people need it I may stream espn3 to justin.tv. Since I'm in Ohio right now its not gonna be blacked out.

If you have Time Warner cable, don't bother much like any other service or channel that people want and would enjoy having they refuse to carry it.

We in the Charlotte area only recently got ESPNU and we had to fight tooth and nail to get it, ironically ESPNU is based here.
