He wants to be traded before the start of the '10-'11 basketball season & he wants to play with another superstar. His agent says the teams Paul prefers are Knicks ( who already have Amare & I think will get Melo next year ), Lakers, & Magic.

Hornets are interested in Anthony Randolph since he's an LSU player, is young, and can play multiple positions. They can't trade Felton yet so would probably package Toney Douglas and Mosgov and a 2014 first round pick.
The Knicks would love to package Curry as well but Major Wingate is a more dependable father than Curry is a player.

Incorrect.

Chris Broussard said:
If they are not presented with realistic scenarios that convince Paul that New Orleans can build a contender very quickly, he'll ask the club to begin speaking to the Knicks, Magic, Mavericks and Trail Blazers about possible trades.

Pleasepleasepleaseplease go to the Blazers. Paul in Portland automatically makes the Blazers the 2nd best team in the west and good enough to take LA in a best of seven.

This has to thrill David Stern. In one month, he's gone from overseeing a major sports league to overseeing a league of quitters and whiners.

Incorrect.

O rly? All star level talent at three spots on the floor and a three deep rotation of Oden camby and possibly przybilla at center. Name one team in the west other than te lakers you are confident would be better than that group.

Unfortunately I don't see Paul coming here. I'm getting the sense he's another slave to market size.

I think it would be sweet if Pat Riley traded Lebron straight up for Paul.

Too bad Oden has bones made of breadsticks.

The Jazz could threaten the Lakers if they made a couple of right moves. One more star for them and they could easily be contenders. I'd put them over the Blazers.

And Greg "Crackerbones" Oden is not and should not be considered a "star"

That leaves Camby and Przybilla, who are more than capable centers.

Oden was already playing great when he did get injured again at the beginning of last season. Him playing a full season would only be icing on the cake.

They have to get superstars to live in Salt Lake. It can be tough fairly frequently get big names to Portland. Salt Lake is another sell altogether to free agents or trade prospects. SLC just lost Boozer and Wes Matthews. They are not going to contend next season. Playoffs, sure. Contend, no way.

We get Chris Paul, we are automatically in the western conference finals. Book it.

If I had money I would ask you to bet. :)

If the Jazz and Blazers met in the playoffs, I would take the Jazz. (Actually, would they meet before the Conf Finals?)

Obviously depends on the seeding.

I'm saying this IF we get Paul.

We have a huge question mark at point right now... We can't have just Miller for a full season. Paul, Mo Williams and Devin Harris are the names I keep hearing tossed around. We're hoping to package Jerryd Bayless, Rudy Fernandez, Nicolas Batum, maybe another player and some draft picks.

For the record - I hate the Jazz. Never have liked them due to my disdain of one of the dirtiest players in the game, John Stockton, and his counterpart Mr Malone.

But whoever wins the west, I hope the beat the sh-crap out of the Heat.

I hate their fans. 1a and 1b with the Lakers for me. Maybe the Jazz with a slight edge.

And an honorable hate mention for OKC just because I miss having a team in Seattle. lol

Maybe I haven't watched Portland enough, but it seems like if they dealt Batum in a Paul trade, the Lakers would be better at every spot on the floor except PG...

Boozer/Matthews for Al Jefferson/Raja Bell isn't that bad a trade...I'd rather have Millsap starting than Mehmet Okur

As far as I know, Paul is the only way we give up Batum.

I personally would like to see him stay in any way possible, the kid can really ball.

As the two time champs, anybody is going to have a tough time matching up with the Lakers. They have it all except at point, but are so good everywhere else it's not that big of a hole. They still have some decent point guards. Blake is a smart player, he will be serviceable to decent running the triangle.
